Meet the team
Megan joined the practice in June 2022 after graduating from Liverpool University. She is over half way through her graduate program and will be completing it by September 24. She enjoys both surgery and medicine cases and always has a smile on her face. At home she has 2 crazy labradors, Kobe and Kyra and has recently adopted a special needs hamster called Jeremy.
Emily qualified from Liverpool University in 2021. She joined the practice full time in September 2021 after helping out with holiday cover over the summer. She grew up in the area and was keen to stay local to home to look after the families crazy Labrador/collie cross Sasha.
She completed our New Graduate program in September 23 and is having a short break before deciding which additional training she would like to pursue next.
In her own time she enjoys playing the guitar and keyboard and loves to bake. Her chocolate brownies are always a big hit with the rest of the team.
Ezgi graduated from Mehmet Akif Ersoy University In Turkey in 2023. She joined the practice in Nov 23 and is loving her New Graduate role. She is enjoying her surgery training with Alex and is keen to meet all of our lovely clients. She has 2 elderly hamsters living with her family in Turkey and is keeping an eye out for a new one to adopt in the UK.
Sam gained her veterinary nursing degree from the University of Central Lancashire in 2007. After qualifying she worked in a busy charity hospital, where she gained a massive amount of experience looking after pets suffering common illness and those undergoing emergency surgical procedures. She then moved on to work as a theatre nurse in a busy referral centre, working alongside vets performing more complicated surgical procedures. Sam joined the practice as Head Nurse when it first opened in June 2013 and became a Partner in Feb 2015. While Sam enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, she has a particular love for surgical nursing, which comes in handy as we perform operations at the practice most days. She also really enjoys all the less clean procedures: scaling grotty teeth, flushing filthy ears and cleaning up contaminated wounds, which Alex is equally happy about! Sam has a cat called Tim (nice but dim), a name affectionately bestowed on him when he was handed in as stray suffering from brain injuries after a car accident (he made a full recovery).

Vicki joined the practice in July 2021 after 13 years in a large local referral practice. She qualified as an RVN in 2014. She brings her immense wealth of experience that she has gained and a natural ability to fit straight in to any team.
She enjoys all aspects of her role but is particularly keen on dealing with clients face to face in our nurse clinics. She is looking forwards to further developing our weight and geriatric clinics.
At home she has a busy family life including a rescue cat called Norma and cold water fish.
Amy joined Vets4Pets in May 2017. She completed her nursing degree at Myerscough College in July 2017. During her degree course, placements took her to practices in Warrington and Aberystwyth. Amy is our Cat Advocate, an ISDM "Cat Friendly Vet Professional" . Amy has reduced her working hours to spend time with her young family including her cat called Bailey.
Alice joined Vets4Pets in May 2021 after completing her nursing degree at Myerscough in September 2020. Alice is our latest ISFM Cat Champion and enjoys working with all cats in the clinic. At home she likes spending time with her mischievous cat Pepper, whom she rescued in 2017. In her spare time she likes to read and spend time with friends and family.
Charley joined the practice in Oct 2019. She has a degree in Visual Effects and Post Production from the University of Bolton but soon realised that she preferred to work in the animal care industry. She has worked for Pets at Home as a store colleague for 4 ½ years and gained her SQP qualification prior to joining our practice. She gained her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification in 2021 and is now studying to be a veterinary nurse. As an SQP she also prepares repeat prescriptions for many of our patients. Her home life is pretty chilled with her main hobby, reading science fiction novels. Over recent years Charley has had every small furry pet imaginable… and has adopted a rescue dog called Boadie to join to her furry family.
Jade joined the practice in July 2019 after studying Animal Management at Rease Heath College. She completed her Veterinary Care Assistant course in 2021 and is now studying to be a veterinary nurse. Her big interest outside of work is shopping and socialising with friends. At home she has a crazy cockapoo called Harry and 3 cats. Mable and Gizmo are sisters and Grix came from the Cats Protection League.
James joined the practice in September 23. He has previously studied Animal Behaviour Liverpool John Moores University but then realised his passion was for Clinical Animal Behaviour. He is our latest Student Veterinary Nurse, studying at College of Animal Welfare.
In his spare time, he enjoys drawing, gardening and boxing to keep fit. His furry friend fix is filled by looking after the family dog when his mum is on holiday.
Tia joined the practice in September 23 and is passionate about all living creatures. Safe to say she could open her own zoo with the number of pets she has!!
She is always on hand to help the vets and nurses with our patients and works hard keeping the practice clean and tidy.
Chloe joined us in August 23 after leaving school. She has always wanted to work with animals and helps her mum look after the family's menagerie. She is always on hand to help the vets and nurses look after our inpatients and to keep the practice spick and span.
Viv joined the practice in May 2022. She loves meeting lots of different people and their furry friends. At home she has a mature Golden Retriever, Louie who is best described as a "nutcase". In her spare time Viv enjoys walking Louie, gardening and DIY at home and meeting up with the "girls"
Debby joined the practice in December 2022. Being a client care advisor gives her the perfect mix of working with people and pets. Her furry friend is Betty a very funny and friendly English Bull Terrier. When not working Debby has a busy family life and is an expert at being "mum's taxi" .
Maria joined the practice in April 23 after previously working in retail management. Her love of animals was the push to change the direction of her career. She finds every day is different and loves meeting the variety off pets and people we look after in the practice.
She has a very hectic home life with her family, including a labrador called Hero, Starla the Pomeranian, two guinea pigs, Bubbles and Squeek and two tortoise, Raphael and Squirt, because he is very small!! Two gerbils, Jordan and Nikey complete the family.
Vets for Pets Warrington Riverside is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
