Aimi Glover
Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc(hons) GPCert(SAS) CertAVP MRCVS
I qualified in Veterinary Medicine in 2004 from the University of Bristol. After a year in mixed practice I moved into solely small animal work including an internship at the University of Liverpool in 2001 and opened Vets4Pets Barnstaple in November 2018. I love all aspects of my job but have a particular interest and specialisation in soft tissue surgery having gained both a General practitioners certificate (GPCert(SAS)) in 2009 and an RCVS certificate (CertAVP) in 2015. Despite these post-graduate qualifications I still have a strong interest in medicine and love the variety of clinical cases and animals that we see. My favourite part of our job is getting to meet clients and their pets and form an ongoing relationship with them over time seeing their pets grow and helping to keep them well. I also am kept busy with my 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. We share our home with our 6 month old whippet, a cat, a hamster, an axolotyl and a horse so life is busy!

Hi, my name is George and I am a Veterinary Surgeon here at Vets4Pets Barnstaple. I qualified in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bristol in 2022.
I am a local farmer’s son and since a young age I have always wanted to be a Vet.
I enjoy all aspects of my job, particularly Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
Outside of work I am kept busy on our family farm taking care of cows, sheep, horses, chickens, and a multitude of other animals!
I look forward to meeting yourself and your pets here at Vets4Pets Barnstaple.

Hi, I am Janice and a Veterinary Nurse here at Barnstaple Vets4Pets
I grew up on a small dairy farm many years ago, on the Blagdon Hills, near Taunton.
My aim in life was to travel while I was younger and I took a year out backpacking around Australia, this was one of the best years of my life and I even got to hold a Tasmanian Devil!
Upon returning to England, I attended Bicton Collage of Agriculture studying an animal care course (in which I gained a distinction). After my animal care course I started my Veterinary Nurse training in Torquay and then moved to a local large and small animal practice near Ilfracombe, where I stayed for 16 years.
Having a passion for animals and maths, I then re-trained as a book keeper, but I missed the Veterinary world and was pleased to be offered a place as a Veterinary Nurse at Vets4Pets Barnstaple, where I have joined a very happy team.

Hello, my name is Philippa and I am a Student Veterinary Nurse at Barnstaple Vets4Pets. I have always loved working with people and have an extensive background in customer service and supporting vulnerable people. However, I have always dreamed of working with animals and I am so happy to have the opportunity to do so in such a friendly and professional practice. Although I don’t have my own pets currently, I take every opportunity to cuddle and play with my family’s pets including two cheeky Chihuahua’s and a Saarloos Wolfdog puppy.

Hello, my name is Daryl and I am a veterinary nurse at Vets4pets Barnstaple.
I'm originally from a small village in Scotland where my passion for animals started at a very young age.
I started working in my first small animal veterinary practice at the age of 17 and then studied veterinary nursing at Edinburgh's Royal (Dick) Vet school, qualifying in 2005.
I have a keen interest in animal nutrition, canine behaviour and a passion for client care. I have several pets including my collie cross, leopard gecko and fish.
I took a career break and became deputy manager for Pets at Home for a few years but then realised I really missed nursing.
I moved to Devon 2 years ago and I've been fortunate enough to return to the profession within Vets4pets Barnstaple.

My name is Tracy, I am our Client Care Advisor. I have recently moved to North Devon from Kent with my husband and two children. I have been visiting my parents in Braunton for the last 25 years and have always planned on moving here when the children had left Secondary School.
I have always had a dog and have been involved with horses and animals, one way or another. My current pooch is called Milo and he is a Shih tzu x Poodle. Prior to Milo we had Percy who was a Basset Hound.

Hello, my name is Ryan and I’m the Client care Co-ordinator here at vets4pets Barnstaple. Most of you will know me already, But for those of you that don't here's a bit about me. I’ve been working in the security industry for the past few years, where I have worked for High end retailers, prestigious events and private clients. I’ve always wanted a career working with animals and after moving from Berkshire to North Devon this became possible. I’m really enjoying working with such an amazing team and I look forward to meeting all new and existing clients
Vets4Pets Barnstaple is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
