Hi, I'm Alan and I've worked as a vet at Vets4Pets Belfast since March 2018. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, and then worked in small animal practice in England and Australia. I recently moved back to Northern Ireland to be closer to family. I'm interested in surgery and enjoy performing both soft issue and orthopaedic procedures. I have four small dogs and two cats. Pan, Lyra and Persephone are all elderly chihuahua crosses and Hector is a very enthusiastic terrier. My cats are called Casper and Johnny Jett, one black and one white.

I joined the practice 2021 and have loved every minute of it.  I have 2 cats and 2 Great Danes, who usually come into work with me.  Working reception is brilliant because we get to meet all our clients and their lovely pets.

We’re here to support you if your pet ever becomes unwell or needs medical treatment. Our Vets4Pets practice in Belfast is run by a caring, professional, and experienced team of vets and nurses with over 84 years of experience who will treat your pets like their own situated on the Boucher Road.

We opened our doors in 2013 by Dr MT Begley, and since then we have had the absolute pleasure of welcoming and treating thousands of wonderful pets.

From regular examinations and preventative care to surgery and x-rays, you’ll find our friendly vets are ready to deal with any pet problem.

Supported by the latest technology our practice features a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound, with on-site parking for your convenience.   Our onsite facilities allow your pet to get the best personalised treatment plan to meet their needs.  Should your pet need to stay with us, they can rest at ease in our dog and cat wards.  We offer all of our services under one roof, with your pets’ comfort being our top priority.

MT Begley, our founder, graduated from Cambridge University in 2005 and followed this up with an internship year in small animal studies at Edinburgh University. MT always worked in small animal practice and although she loved all aspects of her role, she was particularly interested in the treatment of animal cancers and all things feline, our vets now are continuing her legacy.
