MT Begley

Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

Read MT Begley bio

Having previously worked for Vets4Pets in Carrickfergus and Bangor I decided to take the plunge and open my own practice here in Belfast. I graduated from Cambridge University in 2005 and followed this up with an internship year in small animal studies at Edinburgh University. I have always worked in small animal practice and although I love all aspects of my job I am particularly interested in the treatment of animal cancers and all things feline. In fact I am probably in danger of becoming a mad cat lady with 4 rescue cats at home- Jeff, Brian, Tayto and Ormo. When not at work I can generally be found in a quiet corner with a good book or pestering my poor husband about getting a dog! I am looking forward to providing top class care for all the furry and scaley inhabitants of Belfast.

Hi, I'm Alan and I've worked as a vet at Vets4Pets Belfast since March 2018. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, and then worked in small animal practice in England and Australia. I recently moved back to Northern Ireland to be closer to family. I'm interested in surgery and enjoy performing both soft issue and orthopaedic procedures. I have four small dogs and two cats. Pan, Lyra and Persephone are all elderly chihuahua crosses and Hector is a very enthusiastic terrier. My cats are called Casper and Johnny Jett, one black and one white.
