Meet the team

Amy grew up in the United States having trained to be a vet there, qualifying in 2001. in 2009 she made the journey “across the pond” to move to the UK and has practiced here ever since. She has been with the Vets4Pets/Companion Care group working in Milton Keynes for three years. She became a JVP when the surgery opened in 2013. As a resident of Bletchley she is thrilled to have her surgery in her own neighbourhood! Her main interests include preventative medicine and geriatric care. Her goal is to provide top notch customer service to each and every patient that she sees. She treats each pet as if it was her own and strives to give the best quality care to her patients and clients. In her free time she likes spending time with her fiancé, planting vegetables in her allotment, and travelling. Amy has two very naughty black cats at home, called Bubba and Poppy.

Hi my name is Doug. I have worked as a small animal vet for 15 years and have been based in the Milton Keynes area for most of that time. I enjoy all aspects of general practice work and have an interest in cardiology, diagnostics and surgery. I live locally in Bedfordshire and have two rabbits and a Flat Coated Retriever called 'Arthur'. He spends most of his time in mud and I spend most of my time cleaning up after him!

Alvaro is a Spanish Veterinary Surgeon. He graduated in 2019 in Madrid, and right away started a rotational clinic internship. After finishing this in December 2019, he stayed at and continued to work in the Veterinary hospital for another year. In December 2020, he moved to the UK looking for new experiences.
Alvaro has a kennel mix breed dog named Lava waiting for him in Spain.
In his spare time, Alvaro enjoys walking in nature and playing all types of sport.

Carolina is from Coimbra, Portugal and studied to be a vet in Lisbon for 6 years. After a rotational internship in her university’s hospital and another internship in Turin, Italy, she decided to move to the UK in May 2023 and started working with us here in Bletchley.

In her free time she likes to travel, read and enjoy a good meal.

Hello, I'm Daniel and I am the Head Nurse and Practice Manager here at Vets4Pets Bletchley. I started at Vets4Pets Bletchley as a work experience placement. During my time here, I was offered to train as a student nurse. I then went on to qualify in 2017. I am particularly interested in wildlife and reptiles but I love meeting all animals. When at home, I enjoy spending time with my Bulldog Barkley.

Holly Gates
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Hi I'm Mandy, I recently joined Vets4Pets as a VCA to pursue my passion for working with animals
and become a veterinary nurse. In my previous life I worked in the arts industry as a Senior
Technician, however as exciting as it was I didn't feel as satisfied in my work as I do with animals and
took the leap to make that change. I am very excited to be working with a fantastic team and be
taught the ways of the force. I love to travel, read and am a huge movie nerd. In my downtime l'm
seeking out new hotspots or annoying my own two crazy cats.

My name is Amber and I recently joined Vets4Pet as a new VCA. This is my first job in animal care after studying animal management for two years and growing up loving all animals, especially exotics! At home I have two rabbits, plenty of fish, my cat Felix and a crazy springer spaniel, Ozzie. I am a big lover of music and spend my time outside of work at music events with my friends. My favourite animals are Staffordshire bull terriers and Western hognose snakes. I look forward to learning more everyday in my role and meeting all your wonderful animals.

Hello, my name is Sarah, I am one of the veterinary care assistants working at vets4pets in Bletchley. I have been working and studying with animals for the last four years, I have always loved working with animals and have achieved a level 5 in animal management while working as a dog walker and pet sitter. In this period I have worked with exotic, farm and domestic animals to gain lots of experience. At home I have 5 cats whose names are Yuki, Lune, Haru, Mia and Dee. I also have a big dog called poppy who I enjoy playing with and walking. My favourite animals include snails, cows and cats but I also love all exotic animals. In my spare time I enjoy eating out and watching TV. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and their pets.

Hi! My name is Mia, I joined vets4pets as a receptionist a few months ago. I love working with animals. At home i have two amazing doggos, Marvin (Doberman) and Pumbaa (ChowChow) also a tortoise called Edgar. But my favourite animal is a duck!
As a dog owner myself I understand how pets can find the vets a bit intimidating and nerve racking so I hope I can be a warm friendly face to comfort your precious fur babies when they arrive here with us at the vets.
