We are open for essential care only
In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.
We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
- If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.
We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Meet the team
I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2016 from the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno, Czech Republic and registered in the UK in November 2017. During my childhood years, my first love was animals. My primary hobby and passion was keeping and learning about animals, from cats and dogs through to exotics such as snakes, crocodiles and parrots. I have experience in caring for and handling animals in a safe, effective and humane manner, especially animals that need special care and/or those that are untrained.
I have a keen interest in furthering my knowledge and experience to better understand the physiology and natural habits of animals. I am knowledgeable in the characteristics and requirements of exotic animals as well as a familiarity with symptoms of disease that they are prone to. I'm also extremely interested in birds and exotic mammals.
I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from The Forestry Veterinary University in Bulgaria and joined the RCVS in 2014 where I have been working in the UK since. I enjoy all aspects of Veterinary but I have a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. I thoroughly enjoy meeting and treating all the cute puppies and kittens that come in to see us.
I have been working with animals since 2014 but I started to work in veterinary during 2016 since then I have worked as both a veterinary care assistant and as a client care assistant. I enjoy working with the animals and seeing their progress as they get better.
I currently have a little rescue cat called Jess who was left at a previous vets I worked at, when she was just 3 months old.
I have always loved animals and knew that I wanted to work with them since I was four years old. My main goal is to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse and maybe specialise in exotics one day. I'm also known as the 'crazy bulldog lady' because whenever I see a bulldog come into the shop I have to say hello and give them some cuddles!
I have multiple different animals at home including 2 of my own British Bulldogs, 2 bearded dragons, 2 horses and my latest addition is a three-legged guinea-pig which I adopted from Pets at Home.
Since I was young I have had a passion for animals, I had two guinea pigs when I was growing up called Toffee and Ruby. This then sparked my interest in other animals and I volunteered on a children's farm working with rabbits, chickens, horses, sheep, snakes, tarantulas, iguanas and many more! I love spending time with all of our clients pets giving them lots of love whilst they are in our care at Vets4Pets Borehamwood.
I currently have a rescue cat called Tornado and have just recently rescued a new kitten (whose name we have yet to decide!).
After spending 30 years in the retail business 10 of which working in Pets at Home, I have decided to take on some new challenges and have become a partner at Vets4Pets Borehamwood.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling, walking and being around nature. I have one cat at home called Dylan and seem to acquire all the streets cats at feeding time.
Vets4Pets Borehamwood is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
