Practice Owner and Head Veterinary Surgeon

Having qualified as a Vet I now have had over 10 years experience in small animal practice dealing with complex cases. I have a special interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and I am currently studying for the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and Orthopaedic to improve my skills and further my knowledge. I have a lovely cat, called Annabelle, who is part of the family.

I love caring for, and working with, animals and have in the past volunteered in Kenya where I looked after both domestic and wild animals.

I feel very lucky to have joined Vets4Pets Buckingham in April 2019. I am loving it here, the team is amazing and I am really excited to now be the owner of this fantastic practice..

As a result, she qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and is currently studying towards her Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care. At home Kirstin has a bonkers Chocolate Labrador called Skye. Outside of work she loves spending time with family and friends, playing golf, playing netball and watching rugby.

I started my veterinary nurse training in September 2019 after joining the team as a veterinary care assistant back in April 2019. I love working with the Buckingham team who are all so knowledgeable but have so much fun at the same time.

I have a particular interest in inpatient care, looking after animals from admit through to discharge making sure their stay with us is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

I love meeting every animal that comes through the doors but I do have a particular soft spot for any sort of sighthound, due to having my whippet best friend Eddie at home. I can’t wait to meet all of you and your lovely animals whilst I embark on my journey to become a registered veterinary nurse.

I joined the team in July 2019. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002, after working in both small and large animal practices.

Animals have always been a part of my life, from rabbits and cats, to sheep, cows and horses. I knew from a very early age that I would have a career based around them.

Outside practice life I enjoy spending time with my young family and my horses, as I have a particular interest in equine behaviour, horsemanship and podiatry, having travelled back and forth to the USA in order to further my knowledge and education.

I enjoy all aspects of Veterinary Nursing with theatre, anaesthesia and nurse clinics being some of my favourites, so with that I hope to meet you and your beloved pet sometime in the future.

Joyella joined the Buckingham Practice as a Client Care Advisor in February 2019. After spending 4 years as a Teaching Assistant for children with special educational needs, she decided to act upon my love of animals in a job where she can see and pet them every day! Joyella has a great interest in exotic and unusual animals having rescued 2 bearded dragons and 2 chameleons and nursing them back to health and loving them as pets for years after. In her spare time she volunteers at a circus school in Milton Keynes where she also trains as an Aerial performer, when she's not crafting or spending time with her fiancé and 4 pet rats, Luci, Bean, Bunty and Oona.

Sarah Stephens

Practice Manager

Read Sarah Stephens bio

Sarah joined the reception team at Vets4Pets Buckingham and Bicester in June 2016, moving over to the Milton Keynes surgery for 12 months before returning to Buckingham in November 2018. Having grown up surrounded by a variety of animals, Sarah couldn’t imagine life without them. Especially Boxer dogs, which are her favourite! Before working for Vets4Pets, she worked in the city for Bloodstock and Livestock insurance underwriter, but would grab every opportunity to get back to escaping the bright lights of the city to ride horses, walk the dogs and be outdoors. She has lived in Buckingham for the last 20 years with her husband and two daughters. When not working Sarah loves spending time walking her dog, exercising the horses, dancing and socialising with family and friends. Sarah brings with her a consistent positive attitude and looks forward giving you a warm welcome to the practice.

I joined the Vets4Pets family back in July 2018 and I’ve never looked back. I love every day that I get to spend with your sweet animals and the journeys we go on with them.

When I’m not helping take care of your animals, I am spending time with my little dog, Riley, an absolutely bonkers Sprocker spaniel. I have a real love for all animals but an undeniable soft spot for spaniels.

When I’m not at work I’m either spending time with my family and friends, having a laugh. I hope to go on to become a fully qualified nurse in the future and following in the footsteps of our Head Nurse, Kirstin.

Vets4Pets Buckingham is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
