Hi, I'm Jo, Joint Venture Partner at Catterick Vets4Pets.

I qualified from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College, University of Edinburgh in 1999. I spent my early years as a vet in mixed practice in Stokesley, a small market town in North Yorkshire where I gained masses of experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, from calving cows to operating on chinchillas! I moved into full time small animal work ten years ago, and this allowed me to pursue my interests in ultrasonography and small animal cardiology. At home my family pets are two fantastic cats called Chalkie and Hermit. Eventually I would love to get a border terrier to add to the family.

Outside work I like to cook Italian food. I love gardening and try to grow veg that I can use in my favourite recipes. I also enjoy going to the cinema, reading the odd novel, and I have occasionally been seen on my bike!

I decided to open Vets4Pets Catterick because I felt that my experience had given me the confidence to strike out on my own, and because I felt that I could provide the people of Catterick with the kind of practice they really need and deserve. It is hugely important to me that we have a "whole family" approach to caring for our pets. I love to engage with children and help them to care for their pets in a responsible way. I have a son myself and my family are my world. As a client you can rest assured that my team and I will treat your pet exactly as we would treat our own! My team at Catterick are all so motivated to provide exceptional quality veterinary care, and I am so proud to work with all of them.

I graduated in 2017 from the Royal Veterinary College in London, and have been in small animal practice ever since. After four years in the Lake District I came over to Catterick in September last year. My main interests in practice are surgery, and I am currently studying for my certificate in this field.

Outside of work I have two dogs who take up most of our free time, Merry the Labrador and Inca the working Cocker.

Hello I'm Emily, I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2016, within the nursing role my favourite areas are working in theatre being involved with a wide range of surgery and inpatient care. I absolutely love my job and I'm progressing my career further by running nursing clinics and studying anaesthesia, and also by teaching students to become qualified veterinary nurses. Outside of work I enjoy taking my dogs Buster and Rio for long walks in the countryside and spending time with my horse Melvyn.

After serving in the British Army for 23 years I decided that I would far rather work with animals than people! Fortunately the team at Catterick Vets4Pets took a chance on me and allowed me to learn on the job. I am working alongside a great team of professionals here and you will meet me when you come to the counter. Please be patient with me and stay for a chat. Outside of work I enjoy most sports however I mainly spectate rather than participate since I hit my 40's. I still do a lot of running however, and my wife and I enjoy walking to Richmond for a meal and social drinks. We are the very proud companions of an extremely handsome cat called Duncan.
