Meet the team
Dr Diana Mistretta
Emma has been in veterinary practice since 2001, qualifying in 2007 and joining our team in 2010. Emma enjoys nurse clinics and practice management, and holds a certificate in Pet Bereavement Support. She is our Clinical Coach, mentoring our Student Nurses through their training. She has an interest in canine behaviour and dog training. At home she has four dogs and two cats, and enjoys cooking, reading and cinema.
Amy has been in veterinary practice since 2001, and joined our team in 2015. She has interests in surgery, theatre work and radiography, and also enjoys nursing clinics. Outside of work, Amy enjoys going for walks and picnics, and plays the fiddle in a local Ceilidh band.
Vicki has been in veterinary practice since 2001, qualifying in 2007, and returned to our team in 2017. She holds qualifications in nursing of exotic species and dog grooming. She is our Radiation Protection Advisor, and has interests in radiography, patient care and particularly rabbit care and nursing. At home she has two dogs called Betty and Todd. Outside of work she enjoys art, reading, horse riding and dog training.
Emma has been in veterinary practice since 2006, and joined our team in 2012. She enjoys radiography and diagnostics, and has completed additional training in these areas. At home she has two dogs, Bronn & Brienne, and a cat called Leon. Outside of work she enjoys baking, gardening and tending her allotment.
Student Veterinary Nurse
Sue joined our team in 2014. She has particular interests in dentistry and pharmacy, holds an SQP qualification, and enjoys nursing clinics. She plays an active role in local community events for the practice, and fundraises for several charities.
Emily returned to our team in 2018 after 3 years away. She started her nursing career in 2002, qualifying in Australia in 2007, and is working towards UK registration. She has interests in dentistry, radiography and intensive care, and is fluent in British Sign Language. At home she has two lurchers, Niko and Asha. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, cooking, exercise, photography and art.
Gemma joined us as in 2010 on the reception team, moving onto the nursing team as an Animal Care Assistant in 2019. She has a BTEC Diploma in Animal Care, a National Diploma in Animal Management and is qualified as an SQP. She has a dog called Jet. Outside of work she enjoys going out with friends, spending time with family and taking her dog for long walks.
Jude joined the team in January 2013. She previously ran a home boarding business for dogs. At home she has a Lurcher and two Boxers. Outside of work she enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym, reading, cycling and walking.
Tanya joined our reception team in 2018, and enjoys meeting all the clients and pets that come to the surgery. She has a cat called Martini at home, and outside of work enjoys music, film and bingo.
Felicity joined our reception team in 2018, and enjoys getting to know all our clients and their pets, and learning new things. At home she has two cats called Lady Binx and Sven, and outside of work enjoys reading, crochet, crafts and 1950's fashion and culture.
Lisa joined our reception team in 2018, and enjoys getting to know clients and pets, especially seeing puppies and kittens growing up. At home she has three dogs, and outside of work enjoys reading, walking and supporting her children's varied hobbies.
Niomi joined our reception team in 2018, having worked in veterinary practice since 2014. She holds a level 3 qualification in dog grooming, and enjoys all the interaction with clients and their pets in the surgery. She has four dogs and two rabbits at home, and enjoys exploring Northumberland, cinema and live music.
