Meet the team

Joanna qualified as a vet from Glasgow University in 1995 and joined the Cramlington Vets4pets team in 2020.
She enjoys all aspects of being a vet in general practice, especially the fact there is always something new to learn even after many years in the profession. She is trained in Western Veterinary Acupuncture and uses this along with conventional medication to treat her patients, especially those with chronic pain.
Her two terriers Peggy and Benny love the local beaches, woods and country parks.
Joanna also volunteers along with her dog Peggy for the North East charity Wag and Company, and regularly visits a care home in Blyth helping to enrich the lives of the elderly people there.

Abbey qualified from the RVC in 2013, and before qualifying as a vet was also an RVN. She provided us with locum vet services before joining our permanent team in 2021. Abbey has interests in imaging, ultrasonography and surgery. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog.

Emma has been in Veterinary Practice since 2001, qualifying as an RVN in 2007 and joining our team in 2010 as Head Veterinary Nurse. In 2020 she became Practice Owner following the previous JVPs retirement, and is very proud of her team and practice. Emma has additional qualifications in Pet Bereavement Support & Clinical Coaching. She has interests in practice management, canine behaviour and dog training, and provides Pet First Aid training for a local behaviourist. At home she has three dogs and a few guinea pigs. Outside of work, Emma enjoys cooking, reading, travel and art.

Outside of work she enjoys art, reading, horse riding and dog training.

Amy has been in Veterinary Practice since 2001, qualified as an RVN in 2004, and joined our team at Cramlington in 2015. Charlotte has been in practice since 2010, qualifying as an RVN in 2016, and achieved her Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in 2020. She joined us at Cramlington in 2020 after doing locum work for us before this. She has interests in Internal Medicine and Behaviour, and is a Clinical Coach supporting our Student Nurses. At home she has two dogs and a horse. Outside of work she enjoys dog agility and horse riding, and running her online dog accessory store.
