We are open for essential care only
In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.
We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
- If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.
We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Meet the team
Since graduating from Glasgow University I have developed a keen interest in all aspects of surgery. I reserve a special interest for orthopaedic surgery, particularly focusing on operations for the knee joint after cruciate ligament injury and for “floating knee caps” (patellar luxation).
Meeting our new clients and patients is always a joy! It's amazing to see puppies and kittens on their first visit and to give them the best welcome into the world we can offer.
I also have a massive appreciation for our Pets At Home and Groom Colleagues in the store. They play a huge part in my daily life as a vet and really help our clients by offering good advice and direction on topics such as food and nutrition.
Outside of work I spend time with Claire and enjoy working with our horse (Wilson). We also have 3 cats: Foxy, Dany and Mouse. I also take part in clay pigeon shooting and other outdoor activities.
I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2017. I have a particular interest in emergency and critical care but enjoy all aspects of first opinion practice. Outside of work, I love going out riding on my horse Wilson. It’s great for just switching off and relaxing! I also enjoy being lazy at home, watching TV with my cat called Mouse (long story but it started as a semi-joke and the name stuck!). I also love marine fish and have a large mixed reef tank that I can spend hours watching. In the free time that me and Brian have together we enjoy going out for meals as neither of us are great cooks...!
Registered Veterinary Nurse
HND Veterinary Nursing
I have recently qualified as a veterinary nurse. I studied the HND Veterinary Nursing course at SRUC Barony Campus, where most of my training was practical based which involved the completion of the Nursing Progress Log (NPL).
I have a 5 year old Siberian Husky called Darcy, who is super friendly & absolutely loves people! I have also recently adopted a Russian Dwarf Hamster named Lilo, who is really starting to become a little character. I spent 2 weeks in Welgevonden Game Reserve in South Africa, which was such an interesting & once in a lifetime experience, getting to work with South African wildlife including all of the Big 5, in particular the White Rhino.
I am yet to decide what area of veterinary nursing I would like to specialise in as there are so many areas that I am extremely interested in including theatre/surgery, anaesthesia, exotics & wildlife. Veterinary nursing is not always cuddling animals all day, but I absolutely love my job as no 2 days are ever the same & you never know what could walk through the door!
I have worked as a vet's receptionist for over 7 years. I absolutely love my job! The best part is meeting all the new puppies and kittens and seeing how they grown and change over the years. I also love getting to know their owners and having a wee blether when they are in. I have 3 cats at home and I am a confirmed crazy cat lady!
