I qualified in the last months of the last millennium, and have spent the intervening years in general practice in the South East and North East respectively.  After several years working in dedicated Emergency and Critical Care, I graduated into full time management for a while.

In 2020 I returned to general practice and joined the Durham Vets For Pets team when Kevin invited me to join as joint JVP.

In my spare time - such as it is - I keep a pack of border collies, and enjoy (or not) home renovation!

I qualified as a vet in 1998. I have worked in general practice, emergency and critical care, blood banking and more recently, regenerative medicine. I obtained a master’s degree in veterinary research in 2021. I thoroughly enjoy being a vet and see it as a privilege to have a career working with and treating animals. Outside of work I enjoy academic writing and research, photography, riding horses, skiing, paddle boarding and running. I am happiest outside in the countryside on a calm lake, river or in the sea spending time with my family, friends and menagerie of (pretty much all acquired by accident/rescue) animals.

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) back in 2021 but have been with the practice since early 2016 starting as a Student VCA (Veterinary Care Assistant). I enjoy all aspects of my field, however I am working towards furthering my field of knowledge on all things nutritional based. I love all the animals that we meet, but I do have a bit of a soft spot for any Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Bulldogs that we come across.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family. At home I have 2 cockapoos and a sassy cat named PussPuss.

Hi, my name is Ellie and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

I have a toothless Jack Russell Terrier at home who is my biggest supporter and my best friend. Veterinary has always been an extraordinary career, there are never two days the same and learning all about the anatomy of our patients has been so interesting.

I like playing games and watching scary movies. I love autumn with all the pretty colour leaves, the cosy feeling and everything pumpkin spice!

I joined Durham Vets4Pets in March 2023 and I have enjoyed every day since with this wonderful team.

I feel very lucky as my role provides me with plenty of challenges and also gives me the opportunity to spend time with both our 2 legged and 4 legged friends which I love.

I believe I’m supposed to say something interesting about myself here but there isn’t really much to share unless you would be interested to know that I am a woman who eats chocolate every day and sometimes has cake for breakfast.

I started work at Vets4Pets Durham in July 2019. I love my role at Vets4Pets and feel lucky to work with such a great team. Working around animals every day is a dream and if I’m away from the desk, you’ll probably find me in the cattery!

When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with friends & family, getting creative, exploring new places and bingeing a good series on Netflix.

I have worked at Vets4Pets for over 4 years and It’s the best job I have ever had. I love the people I work with and of course seeing lots of animals all day is perfection.

My other love is insects. I adore them. I have a spider window at home and I enjoy watching the spiders going about their day and catching lots of food.

I have three dogs and two fan tail fish and I would have lots more animals if I had the space for them.
