Adele

Veterinary Surgeon

Read Adele bio

Since qualifying in 2007 Adele has been privileged to have worked with a whole range of species from farm animals and horses, to dogs and cats and marine mammals, but has always believed that our smaller pets deserve the best care we can offer them both in their home life and in terms of their veterinary care.

Adele is currently owned by a large mischief of fancy rats, and two chinchillas, and has been a part of the Midlands Rat Club (both as a member and on committee) since 2015.

In her rare time spent not working or with her own animals, she is a keen aerialist, so can often be found hanging upside down somewhere in the name of fun!

Jenny

Jenny

Veterinary Surgeon

Read Jenny bio

Jenny qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 2000 before moving to the East Midlands where she has spent her entire professional career. After spending the first year in first opinion practice, Jenny spent a couple of years at a referral hospital in Derby. In 2003, Jenny opened her own practice in Mansfield, within the Vets for Pets Group, which she helped grow to a very busy first opinion practice with a large team of vets and nurses. After more than a decade, and with a young family, Jenny made the difficult decision to move out of clinical practice in 2015.

Jenny then went on to work within various development and management roles within the Vets for Pets family, whilst still continuing with some ad hock clinical work within the region.

We are delighted to welcome Jenny to our growing team at Grantham Vets for Pets! Jenny thoroughly enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice, especially soft tissue surgery, and loves the variety of case load which each day brings.

At home Jenny lives with her fiancé, two teenage children and a menagerie of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, hens and sheep! She is a keen runner and enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, cycling and all things outdoors.

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013 and worked in various practices in Hertfordshire for a few years before taking a year to work in Australia and moving up to Lincolnshire in 2018.
During my time nursing I've developed an interest in behaviour and pain management as well as a growing love for all things rodent.
At home I'm a slave to two sassy cats, foster kittens for a local charity,  hang from the ceiling as an amateur aerialist, Morris dance and play dungeons and dragons. Variety truly is the spice of life.

I joined the Vets4Pets team in July 2022 and I have enjoyed every minute and have learned so much.

My career has been very varied but this one has been the most fulfilling and challenging.

I love cooking and baking cakes and biscuits for my family and friends. I enjoy walking, gardening and live music when I can. I also enjoy decorating and have even attempted to renovate furniture with a bit of success. I have three cats and have currently rescued a fourth. I also have a black Labrador and fish, which all keep me busy and amused.
