Meet the team

I grew up in Trinidad & Tobago and studied in Canada initially, then moved to Scotland where I graduated as a Vet in 2016. I then leaped into Emergency & Critical Care for three years in fast-paced clinics gaining invaluable experience and many interesting night-shift stories - as you can imagine!
I've recently moved back to day practice, working towards my Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with a big interest in surgery and diagnostic imaging. My goals for our clinic are to provide thorough investigations and build close relationships with our clients to ensure that their pets are receiving the best care possible. I'm so happy to be here helping people and their pets.
My 5 year old son and Border Collie keep me busy but when I had free time back in the day, I loved travelling to work on wildlife projects - rhino conservation topping the list!

Becoming a veterinary nurse had been a goal of mine from the tender age of 8 years old, when my dog being injured in a road accident left me with an overwhelming desire to be able to do more to ease her pain and offer her comfort. I qualified as an RVN in 2011, and have gone on to work in a variety of disciplines including first opinion, charity clinics, surgical referral, and emergency and critical care. I have been lucky to experience nursing a wide range of cases, alongside highly qualified and experienced colleagues.
My passions are emergency and intensive care, wound management/bandaging and incorporating the principles of the Fear Free Pets Veterinary Programme in to every day practice life. I am a certified Fear Free Professional, and am currently working towards higher levels of certification to be able to support clients and colleagues in helping pets to enjoy their visits to the vets. I am never without a pocket full of treats to aid in achieving wagging tails and chirping cats!

I have been in the industry for 16 years and became qualified in 2015. I have experience in all aspects of nursing which include emergency and critical care, referral nursing as well as a management role in a large veterinary hospital.
My passion is emergency and critical care. As well as working for Vets4pets Guildford I do shifts for our out of hours provider vets now.
At home I have two dogs - Rottweiler cross and jack russell cross chihuahua.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, taking my dogs for hikes and catching up with friends and family. I am aiming to complete my sky diving AFF course.
Looking forward to meeting and working with the clients of Guildford Vets4pets to ensure their pets are getting the best veterinary care.

I’m Emily - I’m the Practice Relationship Manager and a Veterinary Nurse at Guildford Vets4Pets.
A little about me, I’m actually from the north, Lancashire to be precise. I’ve been in the Veterinary profession since I was 15 years old where I volunteered. I then qualified as a registered veterinary nurse when I was 19, I have been qualified since 2015.
I have two amazing cute dogs, one called Dottie she is a miniature schnauzer and Rosie my border collie. I love border collies as I have grown up with them, so I became known as the collie whisperer. I am friendly and chatty my interests are in horses, animals and cars.
I used to work for the Supervet and loved my time there, which allowed me to gain lots of knowledge and experience. I have been worked in all areas of veterinary including referral, first opinion and insurance.

I joined the group in December 2019 working at Companion Care Winnersh. I enjoyed my time there getting to know the lovely clients and their pets! I have 2 Cockapoos called Clementine and Rune - Rune is the baby of the family but loves playing with his sister and my fiancé's Cocker Spaniel Sasha.
When I'm not looking after my pets and taking them for walks, I spend time with my parent's menagerie (2 cats, 2 chickens and 4 dogs!) and I enjoy spending time with my fiancé - whether that's going out (restrictions depending!) or spending time at home watching a box set.
I'm looking forward to working at Vets4Pets Guildford and look forward to meeting all our wonderful new clients and their pets!
