Meet the team
Julie graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2003 and after a spell in small animal and equine work in the East Midlands has worked exclusively in small animal practice for the last 10 years . Having grown up in Lanarkshire, she moved back closer to home in 2007. She worked in both permanent and locum positions in practices all over Central Scotland and is happy to have set up in Hamilton. Julie enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and has a particular interest in medicine cases and dentistry. She has worked for Vets4Pets since June 2016, initially as Lead Vet for the opening of Vets4Pets in Falkirk. She enjoyed the challenge of starting this new business and thoroughly enjoys having her own practice in Hamilton and meeting all the new pets and their owners coming through the doors. She has a lovely Labrador called Luna whom you may see around the practice looking for treats. She also has a cat called Rambo. Outside of work she enjoys walking, travelling and loves exploring new destinations.
Frances qualified from Glasgow University in 2005. She spent two years in mixed practice in Yorkshire before returning home to Lanarkshire to dedicate her time to small animal practice. She joined the Vets4pets Hamilton team in November 2019 and has thoroughly enjoyed it so far. She enjoys both surgery and medicine and loves the variety of pets she meets at the clinic! In her spare time she is kept busy with three young children and a young Viszla cross, they enjoy getting outdoors for nice walks.
Catherine grew up on a small island on the west coast of Scotland surrounded by animals. Having always dreamed of being a vet, she studied at Glasgow Vet School and graduated in 2019.
She spent eighteen months at a small animal practice in Falkirk before joining the team at Vets4Pets Hamilton at the end of 2020.
She loves all aspects of small animal general practice, but has a particular interest in surgery and emergency care.
Outside of work she spends most of her time looking after the many animals she shares her home with and hiking with her Dalmatians!

She has a particular interest in surgical nursing and training our student nurses. At home she has three lovely dogs, a German Shepard called Penny, a Labrador called Cooper and one of their puppies, Howie. She also has a cat called Sheldon.
Amy has been part of the team since 2021 when she came to us on placement during her degree studies and we quickly kept her here permanently! Amy qualified from Edinburgh Napier University in 2022 and has become an important member of our nursing team. Amy can't possibly pick a favourite part of nursing but she does enjoy watching our patients grow from tiny puppies and kittens into adults through their visits. Amy has a keen interest in exotics and absolutely loves ferrets! At home Amy has quite the menagerie - two dogs named Cortana and Revan, two cats named Phasma and Shelby and two human boys. In her spare time, Amy loves tinkering on her motorbike and taking her dogs on long adventures.
Alex has been part of the Vets4Pets team since August of 2020 and moved to the clinical team to start studying to be a veterinary nurse in September 2022. Prior to this she worked for Pets at Home for three years where her love of animals really blossomed. Her favorite part of her the job is the patients - especially small furries. She really enjoys building good relationships with our clients and their pets and so far is loving training to be a nurse! She is definitely the team’s crazy cat lady, and is totally obsessed with every cat that visits us and has a soft spot for grumpy ones. She has four cats at home: Misty, Murray, Mango and Maple and a Labrador X GSD called Finch.
Nicole joined the Vets4Pets Hamilton team in February 2024 and is currently in her final year of study at Edinburgh Napier University. Nicole has a keen interest in nurse clinics and has big plans to bring even more support to our clients through these. Her favourite part of her day would be when our patients get to go home to their owners, feeling much better and with a wagging tail! At home, Nicole has a lovely Shih Tzu named Coco. Nicole enjoys catching up with friends outside of work, running and travelling to new places.
Natalie joined the team in March 2024 as our veterinary care assistant and helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Natalie has been working in veterinary practice since 2020 and prior to this, she was a dog groomer for over 10 years. The best part of her job would have to be nurturing our patients through illness and surgery and seeing the difference that her care makes to their recovery. At home, Natalie has a Yorkshire Terrier called Mario and a lovely little boy. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys going for long walks and roller skating.
Hannah studied English Literature, Film & Visual Culture at the University of Aberdeen before moving to Sydney, Australia for 7 years. When she returned to Scotland, she was a Team Lead at the Lighthouse Lab in Glasgow processing covid samples and then joined the practice in October 2022. Hannah loves meeting all the client's pets and has 2 cats of her own, Maggie & Sammy. She enjoys hillwalking, travelling and cooking in her spare time.
Molly has been part of our reception team since October 2022 and is the life and soul of our team, always with a smile on her face and she can cheer anyone up. Molly had previously worked in Pets at Home for 4 years as both a store colleague and as a dog groomer prior to joining us so it's safe to say she knows a thing or two! Molly has a deep love for Bichon Frises and knows nearly every Bichon patient by name. At home, she has her own lovely bichons - Milo and Bob! In her free time, Molly spends time with her fluffy boys going on long walks or spending time with her family.

Viv joined the team in March 2024 after working for the Scottish SPCA as an Animal Care Assistant and having studied at SRUC for three years. She has been working hands-on with animals since she was 17 -- this role is her first venture into looking after pet parents! Viv was inspired to work in vet medicine after her cat, Delilah, fell seriously ill with FIP, which she managed to cure with the help of a devoted clinical team. She aims to provide the same level of support and guidance for clients at Vets4Pets Hamilton. Outside of work, Viv enjoys writing, going on nature walks with her dogs, and collecting bits and bobs from her favourite films.
