Meet the team

I qualified in Milan, Italy, in 2007 and spent the past 10 years caring for my fluffy patients. I moved to England in 2009 and have been working in small animal charity and private practice since then. I am passionate about Veterinary Ophthalmology and have obtained the GpCert (Ophthal) post-graduate qualification in 2014. I believe each and every one of our patients are different from one another and very special, and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know their cheeky characters. Life at the practice is busy with poorly pets and nothing compares with seeing them get better and wagging their happy tails again!

Originally from Estonia, living in UK since 2014. I have worked for Hayling Island Vets4Pets as a locum for few years but fully joined this lovely work family in April 2021. I live with a grumpy cat Panthro, constantly multiplying herd of stick insects and a very supportive partner who has a very high tolerance to vet stories. My special interest lies in dermatology and dentistry, also always keen on helping small furries, exotic pets and wildlife whenever possible. My secret talent is belly dancing, favourite thing to do is discovering new places in UK and abroad.

I started my Vet nursing career in 2014 at another Vets4Pets practice, and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in June 2016 after completing a degree in Veterinary Nursing Science. I joined the Hayling Island team in September 2021 as Head Nurse. I am also a clinical coach and train our student nurses. I have a keen interest in radiography and emergency care; and completed a BSAVA merit aware in emergency and critical care in 2018.

I started my Veterinary journey at another practice in 2014 as a receptionist, before deciding to train as a Veterinary Nurse in 2017. In January 2019 I joined the Hayling Island team. I really love the Hayling Island community and getting to know our clients. Such a lovely place, with people who put their pets first -just like us!
I’m really interested in bandaging and wound care, and I really enjoy surgical nursing. I am also the resident “weight nurse” and run many successful weight clinics with some lovely patients who needed some guidance in losing a few pounds... they are all doing really well.
I sadly recently lost my fur baby, a Labrador cross called Sadie, she was almost 15 and the light of my life! I don’t have any other pets -the cuddles I get from my patients every day help to fill the Sadie shaped hole in my heart.
Overall I really love working at Hayling Island Vets4Pets with a fantastic team who always strive for research based veterinary care with the support for further study to provide the best care for our patients.

I started studying Veterinary nursing in 2018 and I hope to qualify in the summer of 2022. I first joined the Hayling team in May 2020 on placement and started working in Sept 2021. My main interests are in triage, surgical procedures and lumps and bumps. Once qualified I am hoping to gain extra qualifications in these areas.

I am studying at Sparsholt University and hoping to qualify in summer 2022. Then I can become a full-time registered nurse with the Hayling Island team. I am interested in exotics such as rabbits and guinea pigs. This has always been my passion but when in practice, I am really interested in laboratory work and enjoy going through the process with the client of post operatively care. I love the passion and friendliness of the Hayling Island team and very grateful to be a part of it.

Sarah
Student Veterinary Nurse

I have been with the great team at Vets4Pets Hayling Island for the past 2 years. Coming from a retail management role I have a keen interest in customer service. Getting to meet all our wonderful patients and building a rapport with their owners is a highlight for me. I have a personal love for all animals but at home I own 2 guinea pigs, a cat and a horse.

My name is Sylvia, one of the veterinary receptionists. Working at Vets4Pets is a new and wonderful experience for me, I'm enjoying getting to meet lovely pets and their owners. As a child I was always the one that volunteered to look after the classroom pets during school holidays. We as a family always had animals in the house; I grew up with dogs, cats, and budgies. Being around animals is a great thing and I am lucky for it to be part of my job. I am working with a wonderful team and I am so proud of our new practice. In my spare time I love walking, reading, knitting, going to the theatre and cinema, and not forgetting having my grandchildren to stay.

Hi I’m Nikki, one of the receptionists here. I grew up around animals, having dogs, cats, hamsters and rabbits throughout my childhood. I live on a farm and am lucky enough to have a pony and two dogs keeping me out of trouble. Working here with such a great team and being able to meet all of your amazing pets is like a dream come true for me. I have always wanted to work alongside animals and I absolutely love it.
