Meet the team

I qualified from Glasgow University in 2015 and started working in Ireland shortly after. I have just returned home to Ayrshire after spending 2 years in Northern Ireland working in mixed practice. Although I loved working in mixed practice my passion lies with small animals so I am looking forward to being able to focus my time on both medicine and surgery cases.
At home I have a dog Tillie who I rescued from a local charity a few years ago.
I am excited to be back home and cannot wait to meet all our clients.

After graduating from Glasgow Vet School in 2016 I worked in a small animal centre in Kilmarnock with a particular focus on emergency and critical care, before moving to Vets 4 Pets Ayr and Irvine in August 2017 to further build my skills in medicine and surgery. I have a particular interest in internal medicine and anaesthesia, and particularly enjoy working up challenging medical cases.
I currently live in Kilmarnock with my husband, black Labrador and rescue cat. Outside of work I enjoy climbing mountains with my dog and cuddling up on the sofa with a good book and a cup of tea!

Catherine Ness
Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVS

I'm a new graduate vet surgeon from Spain. I moved to Scotland permanently in August and started to work for Vets4Pets Irvine and Ayr in January.
I'm very excited to be part of this awesome team of professionals and to be able to take care of your lovely furry friends!
I have 4 crazy cockatiels at home that get most of my off-work time and attention. When I'm not with them, I love driving around and visiting villages and parks in the beautiful Scottish countryside.
Looking forward to meeting you and your pets!

Lorna Bye
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVN

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 and have primarily worked in small animal practice, I joined Irvine in January 2020. I have a particular fondness for cats and would like to make their time in practice as stress free as possible. I also completed the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing, this meant I had to undertake a lot of more in depth learning particularly on felines and will maybe one day look at working towards the Diploma.

I started at Vets4Pets in Ayr in 2015. Since starting with Vets4Pets I have qualified as an Animal Care Assistant. I am very excited and feel very privileged to now be a part of the Irvine team. I am the community champion, with this position I work closely with the public, helping with fundraising ...and working along with schools educating children on animal welfare and career options. I have previous experience of 4 years working in a small animal practice as well as emergency work. I find my job very rewarding and love all aspects of what I do.
At home I have 3 pets, Mollie who is a Cavalier king Charles, she is 5, we enjoy lovely walks and cuddles, Poppy who is a 2 year old blue point tabby cross. I also have 2 rabbits called Bounty and Twix who are both just 1 year old and have been neutered.

Hi, I’m Kallie. I joined the team in Irvine in April 2018 but started with Vets4Pets Ayr a year prior to this. Before joining Vets4Pets I worked in hospitality for a few years and have found many benefits in combining my people skills with my love of animals!
Outside of work I spend most of my time with my friends and family, or looking after my brother’s 2 Miniature Dachshunds Poppy and Lewis, as I don’t have any pets of my own.

Hi my name is Elaine. I have been in the veterinary profession for 12 years. I joined Vets4Pets Irvine only 3 weeks ago and I am enjoying learning on a daily basis. My only pet at home is a border collie named Louis who is 18 months old and is full of character.

Hi i am jennifer, i have recently joined as a weekend receptionist, i previously did part of a veterinary nursing course but did not complete so this is an ideal job for me as i have a great passion for animals and love working with them. At home, I have 2 ragdolls, a ginger boy and tabby cat girl as well as a chiuahua and a cockapoo as my partner says 'its a very busy household' but loads of fun.
