I qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 2000 and have been working in small animal practices in Ayrshire since then. I have been a partner at Vets4pets Ayr since 2011 and am excited to be part of the new surgery in Irvine. I aim to provide an excellent standard of veterinary care to our patients and look forward to meeting you. I enjoy all aspects of my work but have a particular interest in all types of surgery and rabbit medicine. Outside work I enjoy riding my horse Obi and relaxing at home with my dogs Blue a red collie, Beryl the merle collie, Harry the rescue cat and my ever expanding collection of chickens!

I qualified from Glasgow University in 2015 and started working in Ireland shortly after. I have just returned home to Ayrshire after spending 2 years in Northern Ireland working in mixed practice. Although I loved working in mixed practice my passion lies with small animals so I am looking forward to being able to focus my time on both medicine and surgery cases.

At home I have 2 dogs, Ruby the Lab and Tillie who I rescued from a local charity a few years ago.

I am excited to be back home and cannot wait to meet all our clients.

Hi I'm Catherine one of the vets - this is me with our black lab Inca. We also have a very spoiled silver tabby called Purdey. I love being part of the Vets4Pets team at Ayr and Irvine, even though I only work as a vet part time. The rest of my time is spent being a Biology teacher at Wellington School in Ayr. When I first graduated I worked with my dad, Clif Botcherby, until he retired - it was him who inspired me to become a vet right from when I was a wee girl and he took me out on farm calls with him. I also worked with Christian Veterinary Mission in Haiti, Nepal and Uganda.

I originally worked for Vets4Pets in Ayr where I qualified from in 2014. Since then I have worked at The Royal Dick School of Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh where I got experience in all areas of the hospital through ICU, surgical/medicine wards and exotics. I have also worked for local veterinary practices carrying out tasks such as monitoring anaesthetics, nurse consultations and patient care. I then started locum work mostly around Vets4Pets surgeries which gave me a great insight into how each individual surgery works. I really enjoy running nurse clinics as I find them really rewarding and feel like it builds up a really good relationship with both clients and patients. At home I have 3 collies who I love spending time with and taking walks to the river for some fun.

When I left school I was lucky enough to get a training placement on a veterinary nursing course and after qualifying remained in veterinary nursing for over 10 years.

I changed career a couple of times as I explored and gained experience in other areas of work before returning to veterinary nursing when I joined Vets4Pets in Irvine. Some areas of the role had changed and others were thankfully more familiar; no 2 days are the same and I am always learning which keeps the role interesting.

I live with 2 dogs and a rather aloof cat who keeps us all in check. I do enjoy meeting the clients, their pets and hearing about the mischief they get up to.

I qualified as a Vet Nurse in 2005 and have always worked in small animal. I've been nursing for over 20 years.  This year I have taken on the role of Admin Manager so I deal with the insurance claims as well as other administrative tasks required.
When I do nurse, I work better with cats purely due to back and knee pain.  They're smaller and easier to handle without hurting myself. At home I have one dog, Taco, and two cats, Tinkerballa and Tri-Pawed.

Hi My name is Jo, I qualified as an RVN in 2003 at a mixed practice in Hertfordshire in England. After that I went on to locum for many practices both in the UK and in Australia.

I have spent 14 years of my career nursing captive wild animals as a veterinary nurse at the Zoological Society of London in Regents Park, as you can imagine it was very interesting and varied work. I have recently moved up to Ayrshire with my young daughter and husband and I am very much enjoying my return to small animal practice and all it entails. In my spare time I enjoy different crafts and taking my lurcher on new found walks in the local countryside.

Hello, I am Evie, one of the registered veterinary nurses! I qualified in August 2022 from SRUC Barony, after completing a year of my training as a student nurse at Vets4Pets Irvine.

I love helping all of the animals that come in to see us but have to say I am completely cat daft and particularly enjoy feline nursing. I’m really looking forward to starting my career, and can’t wait to continue learning new skills that will help me provide the best care possible for my patients.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my three gorgeous cats, exercising, and reading.
