Chris qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in Sydney in 1998 and moved to the UK in 2001 to enhance his Veterinary skills and has never looked back. Chris was hugely proud to open Kettering Vets4Pets in December 2009 in partnership with Sarah, and strongly believes that having both Veterinary Surgeon and Veterinary Nurse Partners at the helm works well for our patients. Chris has a keen interest in small animal surgery with a particular slant towards orthopaedic work. Chris also has a particular in dermatology (all things skin related) and rabbit medicine and surgery. As well as being very gadget minded Chris in his spare time enjoys DIY and he has an ambition to “go green” with alternative sources of energy supplies and have no utility bills to pay! Chris has a vast menagerie of pets although he wishes everyone to know that his foot is firmly down and there will be no more added…until next time!

Laura graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 2012 and joined our practice in January 2014. Laura is hugely popular with our clients and team alike. She has a special interest in all things feline and has gained the additional Certificate in Feline Medicine.  Laura currently works on Wednesdays and Fridays as she balances work with life as a new mum. At home Laura enjoys baking, walking, archery (she is very good archer!) and spending time with her beautiful daughter. Laura has recently rescued three gorgeous guinea pigs who are being extremely well looked after!

Nikkita graduated from The University of Notttingham in 2019 and joined our team soon after. Growing up with two rescue cats Charlie and Lola, Nikkita has always had a bias towards all things feline. She currently owns a rescue cat Simba and rescue kitten Olive. Nikkita’s favourite part of the day is meeting clients and bonding over their mutual favourite subject, their beloved pet. Nikkita also likes the variety her day to day duties involve and using her love for animals along with veterinary knowledge and skills to make them feel better. Nikkita is developing her professional veterinary interests in feline medicine and ophthalmology. Nikkita’s goal is to bring passionate, friendly and approachable service to every client that she meets and offer support so that their pet can have the best care.

Stef joined us in 2022 after graduating from university in Vienna, Austria. Stef particularly enjoys performing surgery and is enjoying learning new techniques. Stef also particularly enjoys performing dental procedures and is looking forward to furthering her knowledge in this field. Stef grew up in Germany and has always had a dog in her home, she is looking forward to having a dog of her own once she is settled in her new home here...until then she will settle for cuddling our patients! In her spare time Stef enjoys cooking, baking and playing video games.

Sarah opened Kettering Vets4Pets with Chris in December 2009 having been a Head Veterinary Nurse for 9 years in a mixed practice. Sarah strongly believes that having a vet and nurse at the helm of the practice works extremely well for both our patients and our team and is determined that all of our patients receive the highest standards of care. Sarah has special interests in senior patients, rabbits and tortoises. At home Sarah has a large menagerie to keep her busy, along with her gorgeous daughter Lucy. Sarah enjoys vegan baking, wildlife and bird watching, music and all things animal welfare. Lucy is already planning setting up an animal sanctuary in years to come.

Claire is our lovely Head Nurse having joined the practice in 2015 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2007. She works closely with Chris and Sarah to ensure that our patients receive the very best nursing care. Claire absolutely loves her role within our practice, assisting our clients and patients and developing our nursing team. Claire really enjoys the relationship that we develop with clients and really feels that our close knit team are very much a second family. As well as regularly assessing and reviewing our nursing protocols Claire is also involved in nurse training, not only for our practice but also for the profession across England. Claire has a real passion for nursing rabbits and client support/education, and gained the City and Guilds Nursing of Exotic species certificate in 2009. Further to this Claire lectures to Veterinary Nurses across the country on rabbit health and welfare issues. In her spare time Claire is the editor of Rabbiting On, the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund Magazine! Naturally Claire loves rabbits and has two very spoilt rescue rabbits at home. Claire also loves dogs and has two gorgeous black Labradors at home, along with a wonderful son and her almost equally wonderful and definitely very understanding husband!

Nicole joined our practice as a Student Veterinary Nurse in 2012 and loved it here so much that she decided to stay on when she graduated University and qualified in 2014. Nicole is now one of our senior nurses and still loves it so much that she travels the long drive from Coventry every day, the team really have become a second family over the past 11 years. Nicole has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our clients and patients, many of who she has known since puppyhood and kittenhood. Nicole enjoys consulting, radiography and surgical nursing. Nicole is responsible for running our in house laboratory and helps Sarah with fundraising and keeping our Social media updated. Nicole also enjoys running our annual charity dog show and often ropes her own mum in to be our judge! Since qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse Nicole has developed a special interest in diets, nutrition and weight management, and with the support of our nursing team she runs our in practice weight clinics. In her spare time Nicole enjoys baking, crochet and volunteers with her local dance school teaching children’s dance classes. Nicole LOVES dogs, she has seven dogs at home (yes, you read that right seven!!) and not forgetting her herd of guinea pigs and pet chickens!

Nikki qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2006 and joined our team in 2013, having returned from Australia where she was working as Head Medical Coordinator for two of the university hospitals. Nikki is cat crazy and has a special interest in feline nursing having recently gained The International Society of Feline Medicine Certificate in Feline Nursing. Nikki also enjoys consulting, medical nursing, anaesthesia and has a particular interest in oncology. Nikki has a menagerie at home including one horse, four cats, three chickens and two guinea pigs! Nikki also has two beautiful children and a very understanding husband.

Katie joined our practice in 2017 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. Katie came with a wealth of experience with small mammals having worked for many years in a pet store.  Katie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018 and we were delighted that she loved it here so much she decided to stay. Katie has developed a keen interest in exotics, especially reptiles, and has already completed the Advanced Programme Veterinary Nursing of Reptiles, Amphibians and Small Mammals. Katie has a passion for inpatient care and making sure that all of our patients needs are met and they are given plenty of TLC. Katie loves her job, she especially appreciates the family feel of our practice, the supportive team working alongside her and the patient care focussed environment. At home Katie has two beautiful dogs, one very spoilt kitty, one handsome bearded dragon and some fish to keep her on her toes!

Jasmine joined our practice in 2017 as a Student Veterinary Nurse and enjoyed practice life her so much she opted to stay with us when she qualified in early 2019. Jasmine has a keen interest in wildlife and has spent time volunteering at a wildlife rescue in Canada. As well as being a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Jasmine also has a degree in Zoology. Jasmine loves being a Veterinary Nurse, she particularly enjoys spending time with her patients, care of inpatients and building up pets confidence while they are with us! She can always be found with her trusty bag of pet treats! At home Jasmine has two very spoilt Guinea Pigs and one stubborn Tortoise!

Anna joined us for her Student Nursing Placement in 2018 and returned during 2019 and 2020 to finish her placement before returning to Harper Adams University to finish her studies. Anna officially joined us in 2021 after her completion of this. Anna enjoys taking care of our inpatients, Surgical Nursing, Consulting and particularly enjoys working with Nicole supporting our weight clinics. At home Anna has four cats and two rabbits to keep her on her toes. Anna also enjoys travelling and exploring new cities.

Megan joined us officially in 2022 after she had completed her Veterinary Nursing Student Placement with us throughout 2020 and 2021 and graduated from Nottingham Trent University. Megan enjoys caring for all of our inpatients and surgical patients and is often found taking them for walks outside. Megan also enjoys long walks with her own dog Tommy! Megan also has two very spoilt guinea pigs who like to think with their tummies!

Jane joined our practice in early 2016 as a receptionist. Jane really loves the receptionist role, getting to meet and greet all of our wonderful clients. Jane now leads our reception team and supports all our receptionists to deliver a really caring approach to client services. As well as reviewing and assessing our reception protocols Jane works closely with Chris and Sarah to ensure that we are meeting our aims of providing a supportive and approachable practice environment. Jane loves the family feel or working with our practice and especially loves the bonds that she gets to establish with our clients. In her spare time Jane likes to read and walk but most importantly spend time with her animals. She has a vast menagerie including dogs, cats, horses and numerous guinea pigs.

Sam joined our practice in 2020 having come from a customer service background working with travel companies. Sam really enjoys the role of receptionist as she gets to meet people and help support them face to face as well as meeting their wonderful pets of course. Sam also enjoys supporting our practice team and assisting Jane wherever she can. Sam is a self-confessed cat fanatic and is well known locally for her work supporting our local Cats Protection team and fostering cats under their care. She is supported in this by her wonderful daughter who shares her mum’s love of cats and kittens. In what little spare time she has Sam enjoys attending as many live music events as time allows and spending time with her family.

Donna joined us in 2021 as part of our reception team. Donna is well known to our practice partners, in fact Sarah worked with Donna at the very start of her own nursing career. Donna has a 30 year career in the veterinary profession as a Veterinary Nurse, however she has now moved into a role that she loves and excels with, enabling her to meet, greet and support our clients. Donna also helps support the administration of insurance claims. Donna has a special affinity with cats and kittens having hand reared numerous litters over the years. She also adores dogs and can clock a German Shepherd in need of a fuss at a thousand paces. Donna has an animal mad daughter who loves nothing more than when Mum gets to bring home a litter to hand rear. Donna has numerous cats at home, we do not mention the number of failed fosters, though it does make us smile.
