Meet the team
I have always had a love for animals, ever since I was young and owned a menagerie of pets including ducks, chickens, Guinea-pigs and dogs!
Since leaving school I knew I wanted to work with animals so went straight to Bicton College where I studied Animal Management and decided to further my training as a Veterinary Nurse. After a lot of hard work I was lucky enough to study a foundation degree in Veterinary Nursing at the Royal Veterinary College in London.
However, my heart has always belonged to the South West so after graduating in 2012 I moved permanently to Cornwall to live with my now husband, Gary, our Golden Labrador, Lola and Guinea-pigs Pumba, Timone and Simba. I love meeting such a variety of pets at Vets4Pets especially all the puppies that come to our puppy parties!
In my spare time I love to meet up with friends and family and explore the beautiful Cornwall, with Lola.
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Cornish born and bred, I love living near the sea; spending most of my time walking the local coastal paths and I wouldn’t change it for the world! Whilst I currently only have one cat, Leo, I plan on expanding my furry family in the near future.
I am studying to become a registered veterinary nurse with Duchy College, alongside working with the amazing Vets4Pets team in Launceston, who I have already learnt so much from. Though challenging at times, I enjoy greeting the clients and meeting their pets.
I hope to see you soon!!
Student Veterinary Nurse
Having previously worked in a busy office in Plymouth, I wanted to change career and work in an environment more centred around animal health and welfare, I moved to Launceston (with my two bunnies) and began volunteering for a local animal rescue charity.
Being their go-to vets for procedures; I found myself at Vets4Pets Launceston often enough to build a great relationship with the team, which is how I heard of this exciting position.
I have a keen interest in rabbits and researching about their behaviours, I am always happy to give advice and share what I have learnt with our interested clients or just anyone passing by.
It’s so nice to work within a team who similarly care so much about all animals; big & small.
Same as Jess, I am Cornish born and bred, Living my entire life in a small village on the River Tamar.
I am a widow with two grown up children and a grandson. I have had lots of animals, mostly dogs, but at the moment I have two rescue rats called Winifred (Winnie) and Elfreda (Elfy). I love to travel, especially European city breaks. I am also a keen crafter mostly sewing, knitting and crochet.
I have had various jobs over the years, but am now doing my dream job, working with animals and working with the fantastic team we have here at Vets 4 Pets in Launceston.
