Meet the team

Katie joined the Merthyr team in May 2022. After 9 years in General Practice, and the momentous life changing challenges involved in starting a family Katie wanted to take her leadership skills to the next level. She has come on board as Clinical Lead, which means her time at work is split between taking care of your furry friends and our staff team too. When not at the clinic Katie is balancing being mum to two small girls with her husband Drew and their two cats.

I started working for Vets4Pets in November 2018 as a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have been qualified for over 28 years and have worked in various surgeries in England and Wales.
I have a certificate in Small Animal Clinical Nutrition and a certificate in Oral Care. I am also a Clinical Coach and train our Student Nurses.
I love all aspects of Veterinary Nursing, especially nurse clinics and inpatient care.
In my spare time I make handcrafts and rescue and rehabilitate injured hedgehogs.
I live in Aberdare with my adult children, my deaf English Setter Lester and 5 cats, Foster, Lola, Sheldon, Leonard and Penelope.

Cheryl joined our team in January 2023 after a short break from clinical practice where she gained her ILM level 3 in management, and spent some time working in the NHS Covid Vaccination Clinics - a real model of using her extensive skills in new ways! Now back in the familiar shoes of a clinical veterinary nursing role, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the practice.
Cheryl has a soft spot for waifs and strays, especially the more senior patients who need a little extra love and care in their final months or years! The family home has been known to be quite the pet care home at times.

I started here in September 2019 and am a Client Care Advisor, which is the perfect job for me as I am cat mad! I love my job, I am always learning new things, chatting to the clients and no two days are the same.
I live with my 4 cats, 3 of them are girls, Mali, Saffie and Bonnie, then we have my little boy Archie, who is my recent rescue. He completes our household. They all have unique personalities and I wouldn't be without any of them.
They don't call me the surgeries "Crazy Cat Lady" for nothing!

I'm Tracey and have been a Client Care Advisor here at the practice since 2018.
I have always loved animals and being around them. Working here has not only given me the perfect opportunity to work with animals, but also to meet their lovely owners, along the way.
I have a rescue cat called Ivy, who is a little rascal, but I absolutely adore her!
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, travel and spending time with my family.

I'm Stacey and I have been a Client Care Advisor here since 2019.
I have always wanted to work in a veterinary practice, so I would call this my dream job, as I get to meet all the amazing animals and build relationships with their owners.
I have a rescue cat called Tiddles, he is such a beauty. My 3 young children call him Tiddle-Moo!
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with my friends, going to the gym and having family days out.

Leanne joined our vet team in December 2022 after working in the store downstairs.

My name is Becky and I am the Joint Venture Partner at Merthyr Tydfil, I graduated in 2005 from Bristol Vet School, and since then have worked in both the UK and Ireland in a wide range of veterinary practices, including referral centres, emergency and critical care hospitals, and first opinion practice.
I moved to Wales in 2013 and helped to set up Vets4Pets Merthyr Tydfil in 2016 and I have now been working here full time since March 2018. I have a particular interest in preventative health - working with pet owners to keep their pets happy and healthy and love watching them grow over the years.
Vets4Pets Merthyr Tydfil love being here for you and your pets. We are committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice. We offer a range of services for both healthy and poorly pets!
We believe in the power of preventative care and so you will always find our staff willing to chat about keeping your pet healthy and happy through all life's stages (psst! ask us about our Care Plans!).
We also know how hard it can be when your pet is poorly, so you can trust us to have all the skills, knowledge and equipment needed to make this difficult time as straight forward as we can.
The Merthyr team look forward to helping you in any way we can.
