We are open for essential care only
In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.
We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
- If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.
We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Meet the team
For as long as I can remember, I have always held a strong passion for animals and their well-being. I completed my first degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, but having found two one day old kittens and cared for them until they were ready to be rehomed, I realised that I wanted to become a Veterinary Surgeon.
I graduated from the University of Agronomical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Bucharest in 2014. For three years prior to graduation and one year after, I worked in small animal veterinary practice in my home town. I was also involved in animal rescue, trying to make a difference to abandoned and stray animals by providing the highest standard of treatment and working to find them loving homes. I moved to the UK and have been working as a Veterinary Surgeon here for four years. I love everything about veterinary practice but I have a special interest in soft tissue surgery and wound care.
I own a few rescue dogs who live in Romania, as well as three cats and a variety of birds, whom I love very much. I have also recently adopted a ten year old Jack Russell, called Bo, who has been the funniest and best companion ever. When not at work, I enjoy cooking, travelling, spending quality time with my family and my feather and furry babies.
Now I am happy to have become part of Vets for Pets Newark team and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members very soon.
Hi. My name is Bec and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have been a qualified nurse for just over twenty years. Before moving to Vets4Pets I was head theatre nurse at a large referral hospital. My main interest within the profession is pet bereavement, veterinary education, surgical nursing and wound management. I have presented a number of lectures for clients and colleagues on these subjects.
Outside of work I am kept busy with my six year old daughter and two dogs; Brian, a mad Border Collie and Max, a greedy black Labrador.
Having worked in the veterinary industry for 6 years, qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) for 3 years, I have gained experience from a variety of small animal and mixed practices. I have been at Vets4Pets Newark since the day it opened in March 2018, with the exception of a brief spell at a different branch. I have loved seeing the practice grow from day one, to where we are now. It is lovely seeing the familiar faces of our clients who are sharing our journey with us.
At home, I have a young daughter and a Labrador which keep me very busy in my 'spare' time. There's always an adventure to be had with those two. If I manage to catch a second to myself, I love to play netball, have a catch up and gossip with my friends and, of course, enjoy a sofa day with some chocolate and a good box-set!
In practice, my main loves are medical nursing, pharmacology, nutrition, tabby cats & of course, Labradors! I plan to study further qualifications in these interest areas to increase my knowledge to share with all of our clients - so watch this space!
Sarah has been working in veterinary practice for the last eight years and has been working at Newark Vets4Pets since it’s opening in April 2018. As the Practice Manager, Sarah ensures that that the highest level of customer service is maintained and is heavily involved in the management of the team and the business.
Sarah has two children, one dog and one cat, which makes for a busy life. She is a keen horse rider and swimmer.
I’m Emma, one of the Client Care Advisers here at the Newark Vets4Pets Practice. I’m new to the practice and team and it’s already become a special place to be; not only working alongside a great enthusiastic team but meeting clients (existing & new) with their precious animals on a daily basis. I absolutely love the interaction and communication that comes along with this job role.
Every day is different from helping clients bringing their pets in for operations to first vaccinations on kittens/puppies, to having a tiny hamster brought in to be examined by our vet. I have learnt so much already about animals and caring for them. I can honestly say I’m in a job where I get the best of both worlds. I can’t count the amounts of times each day I must say “argh, how cute!”
I joined Vets4Pets in June 2019 and I have enjoyed every second. I love my new role with Vets4Pets and have settled in well,; the best part is the cuddles from our clients’ furbabies!
I trained at Northern Racing College back in 2007 which kick started my career with horses in a variety of different places up and down the country but I am now settled with my family in Lincoln.
One day in hopefully the not so distant future I am hope to train as a veterinary nurse.
At home I have two cats (Porsha and Kiwi), four fish tanks of various sizes, fifty snakes of various species, one Crested Gecko (Lucky who I found in a car park) and two Mossy frogs - they certainly keep me busy.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with the family outside in all weathers, we enjoy climbing, watersports, walking and swimming. You name it, we probably do it!
