Read Jenny bio

Jenny qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 2000 before moving to the East Midlands where she has spent her entire professional career. After spending the first year in first opinion practice, Jenny spent a couple of years at a referral hospital in Derby. In 2003, Jenny opened her own practice in Mansfield, within the Vets4Pets Group, which she helped grow to a very busy first opinion practice with a large team of vets and nurses. After more than a decade, and with a young family, Jenny made the difficult decision to move out of clinical practice in 2015.

Jenny then went on to work within various development and management roles within the Vets4Pets family, whilst still continuing with some ad hock clinical work within the region.

We are delighted to welcome Jenny to our growing team at Newark Vets4Pets! Jenny thoroughly enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice, especially soft tissue surgery, and loves the variety of case load which each day brings.

At home Jenny lives with her fiancé, two teenage children and a menagerie of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, hens and sheep! She is a keen runner and enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, cycling and all things outdoors.

I have been practising in the UK since 2007, mostly in Lincolnshire.  I have a huge passion for surgery, ultrasonography and emergency and critical care.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending it with my family, pets and friends, listening to live music, doing jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and going out for walks.

Having worked in the veterinary industry since 2014 and qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2017, I have gained experience from a variety of small animal and mixed practices. I have been at Vets4Pets Newark since the day it opened in March 2018, with the exception of a brief spell at a different branch. I have loved seeing the practice grow from day one, to where we are now. It is lovely seeing the familiar faces of our clients who are sharing our journey with us.

At home, I have a daughter, a Labrador and two feisty felines who all keep me very busy in my 'spare' time. There's always an adventure to be had with those four. If I manage to catch a second to myself, I love to play netball, have a catch up and gossip with my friends and, of course, enjoy a sofa day with some chocolate and a good box-set!
In practice, my main interests are medical nursing, pharmacology, nutrition, tabby cats & of course, Labradors!

I joined the veterinary world in 2013 as a trainee nurse and qualified in 2019. My particular interests are feline welfare and wildlife, having completed a Feline Nursing certificate in 2016 and being extensively involved with a hedgehog rescue for a couple of years. I also worked in Emergency and Critical care for a year which gave me an invaluable experience clinically through a wide range of cases.

In my spare time I love gardening, growing veg on our allotment and spending time with my partner, our dog Bernard, our four cats; Rudy, Salem, Rufus and Luna, our tortoise; Mrs Walter and our two chickens; Phyliss and Gertrude.

I’m Emma, one of the Client Care Advisers here at the Newark Vets4Pets Practice. I’m new to the practice and team and it’s already become a special place to be; not only working alongside a great enthusiastic team but meeting clients (existing & new) with their precious animals on a daily basis. I absolutely love the interaction and communication that comes along with this job role.

Every day is different from helping clients bringing their pets in for operations to first  vaccinations on kittens/puppies, to having a tiny hamster brought in to be examined by our vet.   I have learnt so much already about animals and caring for them. I can honestly say I’m in a job where I get the best of both worlds. I can’t count the amounts of times each day I must say “argh, how cute!”

I joined Vets4Pets in 2019, and love working within the veterinary industry. Initially I started as a Veterinary Care Assistant and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my job. After falling pregnant with my twin boys’, where I then took a less physically demanding job as a Client Care Advisor. In the future, I hope to pursue my nursing career again. I love all things animal and science related, and have a degree in Bioveterinary Science.

At home, I live with my long term partner, twin boys’, my cat (Bandit) and two crazy dogs (Luie and Benson). These certainly keep me busy. In my spare time (not that I have any these days), I enjoy country walks and photography!

Vets4Pets Newark is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, free on-site car parking too!

Vets4Pets Newark is an RCVS accredited practice. This means that the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has assessed our standards and concluded that we are providing the highest standard of veterinary care!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
