We are open for essential care only

In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.

We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:

  • If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
  • Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
  • Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
  • We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
  • If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.

We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.

In common with many people who grew up in Naval families I was born and spent many of my formative years in the Plymouth area. I graduated from Cambridge University in 1981 and worked in small animal practice in south east England for four years. In 1985 I moved to Somerset, initially doing mixed work but have looked after small animals for the last twenty years. I am extremely excited to become a partner in this fantastic new venture in Plymouth.

I see myself as a companion animal GP and I am dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care to the people of the Plymouth area from this 'state of the art' new surgery. Outside work I like to relax with my wife, three children and our two dogs,'Lulu', a golden retriever and 'Cotley', a black labrador.

After growing up in Nottinghamshire I qualified as a vet from Liverpool University in the summer of 2016 and moved to the South West. After spending 2 years working as a mixed practitioner, I decided to join the team at Vets4Pets in July 2018 to pursue my passion for small animal medicine and surgery.

Outside of work I enjoy playing and watching sports, exploring the local scenery and countryside, or relaxing at home enjoying a film with my partner Kim and our cats.

I graduated in 2006 and immediately got myself my fabulous dog Inca. She is my bestest friend and has been by my side since and helped me with large animal and small animal work. I have now been in solely small animal work since 2010 and I am currently doing a surgery certificate. I also enjoy the emergency side of veterinary practice.

When not at work, I have two lively little boys Bear and Neddy who keep me occupied! We love going to the beach, camping, meeting up with friends, jumping on the trampoline or playing ‘little machines’

Back home with my parents lives my English Bull Terrier called Rasti. Outside work I enjoy horse riding, scuba diving and socialising. My favourite food is chocolate!

I started training to be a veterinary nurse in 2001, and qualified in 2005. I have always loved animals and wanted to be in a profession where I could care for and help all types of different animals. I worked in Greece for 5 years which was very interesting as their animal culture is very different to ours. I returned to the UK and started working for Vets4Pets in September 2011, I love all aspects of my job but I have a special interest in Diabetes and run our supportive diabetic clinics.

I have a lovely crossbreed dog called SJ that I hand reared, as she was dumped in a box at 1 day old in Greece and I brought back with me.

I started my veterinary nurse training in 2014 and graduated from university in 2017. Shortly afterwards I began working for Vets4Pets.

My main interests are dentistry, feline nursing, senior nursing and wildlife. I am hoping to begin running senior clinics in the near future and have completed additional courses in wildlife nursing, dental care, diabetes and cat friendly nursing techniques.

At home I have my cats and a miniature schnauzer called Chomper who lives with my parents. Aside from my interests at work, I enjoy reading, going for walks and caring for my many house plants!

I started working at Vets4Pets as a receptionist in August 2015 and have absolutely loved it since day one! I was brought up around lots of pets and my family has a smallholding a few miles away with a massive variety of different animals on it. At my home in Plymouth I have a crested gecko as well as a crazy 2 year old German shepherd x Border collie called Buddy who keeps me on my toes!

In my free time I enjoy horse riding, kayaking and long walks with my dog. In September 2018 I became a student veterinary nurse and I am absolutely loving being more hands on with the treatment of our patients. I cannot wait to qualify so that I can start to really make a difference to animal’s lives! I love seeing pets leaving after their treatment looking so much better than when they came in. That is what makes all the hard work from everyone on the team so worth it!

I have always been an animal lover from a young age with my first dog Lucky cementing canines as my favourite. Originally from Leeds, I moved down to Plymouth in 1998 and met my husband here in 2006. I surprised him with our first dog as a wedding gift in 2009. A collie cross Alsatian called Kia. Six months later, Riley a border collie cross joined the family and they have been the best of friends ever since. Our free time is spent at dog-based charity events or holidaying in Newquay with the ‘pups’.

I have achieved diplomas in animal psychology, pet sitting & dog walking business, veterinary support assistant level 2 and veterinary support assistant level 3.

I joined the Vets4Pets Team in August 2018 and I love every minute of it. Every day I learn something new or get to assist with handling the animals. My favourite part of the job are the puppies but seeing pets leave after a bad illness is great job satisfaction.  I am working towards achieving my veterinary nursing degree but for now, no two days are the same here and I love being a member of the Vets4Pets Family.

Having always had a big love for animals, working at Vets4Pets as a client advisor is a great opportunity for myself to work within an industry I love.

I've been brought up within the equine world and with big dogs so working on a daily basis helping others help their pets is something I'm very much grateful for.

Working as a receptionist at Vets4Pets has been a great opportunity for me to learn and grow within the animal industry. I have grown up around animals and finished my animal management level 3 qualification in 2014. I currently have an English bull terrier cross called Jack and a Syrian hamster called Gulliver. I am so grateful to be a part of helping animals in the South West and look forward to continuing to do so in the future.

Having been a client of Vets4Pets for a number of years now with my cat, Loki who is diabetic. I was thrilled when an opportunity arose to join the team as a receptionist. I have learnt so much during my time here and enjoy helping pets and their owners. There is also an enormous sense of job satisfaction, seeing pets leaving both happier and healthier after their visits, which is great.
