Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

My name is Nikolay Radev and I am the JVP at Vets4Pets in Portishead. I graduated back in 2006 from the Trakia University in Bulgaria and also studied at a secondary veterinary school four years prior to that. I have done two large animal work experiences during my time at the University. Firstly, I spent 11 months working with large animals in Finland and then I spent 26 months in Morris, Minnesota working with pigs. When I came to the U.K. back in 2006 I initially worked with pigs again for 18 months. I started working as a small animal vet in September 2009 and I found it a lot more rewarding and enjoyable than being a farm vet. I enjoy being a veterinary surgeon as every day is different and brings a new challenge. Outside of work I enjoy the great outdoors, looking after my four year old daughter and taking her to the park when I am at home. I love football and have just started going to the gym.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I started my animal based career in 2008 completing a level 3 distinction diploma in Animal Management, I then developed this further in 2010 to get a BSc Hons degree in Animal Science. I have worked in the veterinary world since 2013, starting as a receptionist and as a Nursing Assistant. I later went on to complete my veterinary nurse training. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in August 2017, joining the Vets4Pets team September 2018. I enjoy carrying out nurse clinics and taking care of all of our patients. Outside of work, I like to spend my time visiting family and friends and going out for long walks with my two dogs Maisy (Golden Retriever) and Poppy (Cocker Spaniel). I also enjoy the company of my rescue cats Franklin and Watson.

I am originally from Hampshire but moved to Bristol in 2011 to complete my degree in Veterinary Nursing and Bio-veterinary Science at the University of Bristol and loved the city so much I never left! Since graduating in 2015, I have been working in a small animal practice and I am very excited to be working with an amazing team at Vets4Pets in Portishead. I love all aspects of being a vet nurse and enjoy getting to know clients and their pets - my main areas of interest are in surgery/theatre and dentistry. The only pets I have at the moment are four goldfish so I always love coming to work to spend time fussing over everyone's pets! In my spare time I enjoy running, going for walks, going out for meals and visiting my family who have a very cheeky Border Terrier called Tarot.

Student Veterinary Nurse

My name is Jazz, I am new to the Vets4Pets team as a student veterinary nurse. I have a variety of pets including my 2 dogs, Roxy and Scooby, a rex rabbit called Viola and 6 snakes! I look forward to all the challenges ahead and meeting everyone with their lovely pets.
