My name is Nikolay Radev and I am the JVP at Vets4Pets in Portishead. I graduated back in 2006 from the Trakia University in Bulgaria and also studied at a secondary veterinary school four years prior to that. I have done two large animal work experiences during my time at the University. Firstly, I spent 11 months working with large animals in Finland and then I spent 26 months in Morris, Minnesota working with pigs. When I came to the U.K. back in 2006 I initially worked with pigs again for 18 months. I started working as a small animal vet in September 2009 and I found it a lot more rewarding and enjoyable than being a farm vet. I enjoy being a veterinary surgeon as every day is different and brings a new challenge. Outside of work I enjoy the great outdoors, looking after my four year old daughter and taking her to the park when I am at home. I love football and have just started going to the gym.

Hey!

I’m Becky one of the Veterinary Nurses in vets4pets Portishead 🥰

I started my animal based career in 2008 completing a level 3 distinction diploma in animal management. I then developed this further in 2010 to get a BSc Hons degree in animal science. I have worked in the veterinary world since 2013, starting as a receptionist and a veterinary nursing assistant. I then went on to complete my veterinary nurse training becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse!! I joined my vets4pets family in 2018. 🐾
I have been living with animals since my earliest memories, which has lead me to form very strong bonds with our furry companions! Like all kids, from an early age I have always wanted to help animals, cuddling with them whenever and where ever I could! Playing with my animal hospital toys and being glued to any animal programs on the TV, even creating my own imaginary vet practice! It was clear to me I only had one path to follow and that was to become a veterinary nurse. I love my jobs and all the pets I meet along the way, there really is nothing quite like it! I’ve also fallen in love with my own pets along the way! Adopting two cats, Watson and frank who are a part of my family.

It was clear to me I only had one path to follow and that was to became a veterinary nurse. I love my job and all the pets I meet along the way there’s nothing quite like it!

Hey!
I’m Naomi, one of the registered veterinary nurses in Vets4pets Portishead!
I am originally from Hampshire but moved to Bristol in 2011 to complete my degree in Veterinary Nursing and also in Bio- Veterinary science at the University of Bristol. Since I graduated in 2015, I have been working in small animal practices and I have loved every minute of it!
I love all aspects of being a vet nurse and getting to know our clients and their pets, treating them all as my own! You may not always see me out front as I mostly look after everyone out back during surgeries and theatres! Most of the time you will find me in the cattery giving all the cats cuddles to help them settle in! I have always had a strong love of animals from a young age and for me it was obvious there was one career for me!

Hi!
I’m Mel, a student veterinary care assistant in vets4pets Portishead.
I have always had a passion and love for working with animals. Over the past few years myself and my partner have been rescuing and fostering all different kinds of animals, from dogs to cats and even reptiles!! For me working with animals has always been a strong passion even from a young age where I would cross the street just to say hi to the dog on the other side!
I began working in the veterinary world as a receptionist and quickly soon after began studying to become a veterinary care assistant. Once I qualify from my care assistant course I would love to complete my veterinary nurse training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I love my job and wish I could take all the animals home with me! 🥰
I have my own little mad house at home with 2 dogs Bear and Penny,  3 cats Haribo, Missy and Muffin, and 3.. yes 3 snakes! 2 corn snakes and a baby boa! But there is always more room in the family right?

Hello!
I'm Rhianna and I'm the Practice Manager here at Vets4Portishead. You'll probably see me most at the reception desk chatting away to our lovely clients getting to know them and their pets. I stepped into the veterinary reception role when we first opened at the start of 2018 whilst I was studying for my diplomas in Canine Behaviour and Canine Health & Nutrition. I am pleased to say that I achieved both diplomas with distinction meaning that I also run my own dog behaviour clinics here within practice! I have continued to complete courses, study for certificates and attended conferences to keep my canine knowledge as up to date as possible.

I have a very keen interest and passion for dogs and getting to understand the reasons behind their behaviours. As well as helping owners and their pet dogs, I have spent time in Spain on two occasions to help the abused & abandoned dogs out there as well as volunteering here in the UK with a German Shepherd rescue.

Whilst I'm an avid dog fan, I just can't get enough of meeting everyone's beloved animals from fluffy, to scaly, to giant and tiny. I absolutely love working within the practice and welcoming every face that we see!!

Vets4Pets Portishead is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
