Meet the team

Mehtap graduated from Bursa Uludag University in Turkey in 2017 and since then has worked in all manner of environments including farms and small animal practices. In 2024 she joined the Prescot Vets For Pets family and she has fit right in. She is adored and respected by the staff and clients alike and always strives to provide our patients with the best care possible. Mehtap has a particular interest in small animal dentistry and will soon be studying towards her dentistry certificate. Mehtap is also a skilled cook/baker and often brings in treats (or sometimes entire buffets!) for us to enjoy at work.

Agatha is a familiar friendly face at the practice as she has worked with us as a locum vet for a few years, but she joined the team as one of our full-time vets in early 2025. She jumped right into the action and is looking forward to developing her skills and getting to know our patients even better! She always makes sure to keep up to date with the latest developments in the industry to make sure your pets are always receiving the best care. Hobbies include live music and pottery making and Agatha also has a love for travelling! She has worked/lived/studied all over the world, most recently in New Zealand.

Alice has worked in veterinary practice for a number of years to gain first-hand experience before becoming a student veterinary nurse. She joined Vets For Pets in 2019 and has become a core part of the Prescot family, working as a nurse, head nurse, and now practice manager. It truly wouldn’t be Prescot without Alice! She has particular interest in nursing stray wildlife and is also our practice Cat Advocate. At home she has her own cat called Mr Ron and she enjoys fun days out with her husband and children.

Leah has worked for Vets For Pets since she was 19 studying at university and has been working her way from receptionist to VCA, and is now our Student RVN! Her love for animals is unmatched and she has such an affinity for in-patient care and making sure your pets have a positive and loving experience when they visit us. We cannot wait for Leah to qualify as an RVN soon and see how her career takes off, we are certain she will continue to improve the lives of so many patients. Leah is a social butterfly and has many hobbies that include drawing, cooking impressive meals, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.

Claire has worked in veterinary since 2006 and has been part of a wide variety of veterinary practices since she qualified in 2016. This includes general practice, emergency hospitals, and referral hospitals, we’re very lucky as this means she brings such a wide range of knowledge to the team! Claire already has a qualification in emergency and critical care and is also now studying towards a radiology qualification so she can help even more patients than she already does. She has a house full of crazy dogs (two of which she hand-reared from birth!), and in her spare time you’ll probably find her training or competing at the gym.

Claire joined the Prescot Vets For Pets team in late 2023. She qualified as a nurse in 2018 after growing up with many pets and a lifelong love of animals. Claire is a joy to work with and always brings a positive attitude to every single day. She has a knack for attracting animals in need; she grew up with three rescue dogs and now has Bonnie and Amy who are two cats that were brought into her work as strays and found themselves in need of a home… Outside of work Claire is either hiking, enjoying a pamper at the spa, or spending time with her family.

Alison joined the team in 2024 and brings joy and positivity to everything she does here and has a particular love for cats and feline welfare. She keeps herself busy by pursuing extra qualifications - she has multiple qualifications in Feline Behaviour and is currently studying for a masters degree in advanced veterinary nursing!

Sam has been part of the Prescot family since 2016 after previously working in another veterinary practice. She is a familiar friendly face on reception and is much loved by the team and clients alike as she always goes out of her way to help others. She has two rescue dogs – Gwladys who is a lurcher x collie, and Ethel who is a collie x german shepherd. Sam has a particular love for collies and will always make time to give any visiting collies a bit of fuss! In her free time Sam is an avid photographer and takes her camera pretty much everywhere.

After a career in sales and property management, Wendy decided to move into the veterinary world as a client care advisor in 2021, and we’re so glad she did as we’re incredibly lucky to have her here at Prescot! Outside of work Wendy loves to take hikes and potter about in the garden, as well as whip up fantastic meals in the kitchen. She has a cat named Delia (after Delia Smith), an array of tropical fish, and Lottie the cocker spaniel.

Ellie has always had a passion for animal care. She started with us in 2021 as a client care advisor and is now also working towards her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification. She’s an incredibly hard worker and always tries her best to make sure clients and patients have a positive experience at the practice. When she’s not working Ellie is always on an adventure! Whether that be rides through the countryside on her motorbike, discovering a new sport, or hiking up mountains in the dead of night!

After always having a love and passion for animals Ellen volunteered to work with animals growing up, and has since worked in Pets At Home retail stores and then moved over to Vets For Pets. She has worked at a couple of practices over the years and arrived here at Prescot in 2022 and is now practice manager. She has a genuine passion for making sure our clients feel supported and cared for, and is always on hand for a friendly chat or a cuddle with a favourite patient. In her free time she loves going home to visit the family dogs and take them for long walks through the countryside or to the beach. Ellen loves a walk in the rain but when the weather is too bad she enjoys a cinema trip or stays inside reading a good book.

Nicole has been working with us at Prescot since 023 after previously working in retail management. She has always had a love for animals and owned many pets throughout her life including dogs, rats, hamsters, snakes, and a Chinchilla. She currently shares her home with three Chihuahuas names Maggie, Martini, and Honey that keep her nice and busy! Since starting out as a client car advisor Nicole has since decided to also pursue her veterinary care assistant qualification too! Nicole is so generous with her time, no question is too big or too small and she will always strive to make you feel cared for. When she's not working Nicole juggles many hobbies that include playing piano and studying Egyptology. She is has also completed her Level 2 in British Sign Language which means she gets to chat to and communicate with even more people.
Vets for Pets Prescot is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
