Jonathan's interest in veterinary studies began while he was a student at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he completed his Master of Biochemistry degree in 2006. He went on to complete his fast track veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College in London, qualifying in 2010. Jonathan then worked in small animal practice in St Albans and South Wales before moving to Cambridge, working for the Village Vet group for three years where he met Gloria. Jonathan and Gloria opened Vets4Pets in Haverhill in 2017 and Vets4Pets Saffron Walden in 2019 as Joint Venture Partners. Jonathan completed the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2016 and was an RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine from 2016-2021. His interests include management of complex medical cases, cardiology and soft tissue surgery. He is hoping to complete a certificate in Small Animal Surgery in the near future.
Out of work Jonathan enjoys running, listening to a variety of music genres and drinking coffee!
Gloria graduated in Italy in 1996 where she worked in a small animal practice while starting her PhD in Infectious Diseases, which she completed in the year 2. She has been working with companion animals in the UK for the last 16 years, the last 9 of which as Head Veterinary Surgeon for a big hospital with a busy out of hours service. Gloria’s main fields of interest are internal medicine and dermatology and she thrives in creating that rapport of mutual trust with the client and their pets which she believes is the very essence of the high standard of care she strives to provide. In her spare time - whatever that means! - she enjoys running, dancing, cooking and spending time with her daughter and her cats. Over the last 3 years she has also gained qualification as a hypnotherapist and a counsellor (for human beings, not pets!)
Isabella graduated in December 2013 in Italy and started her career in a Veterinary Practice mainly treating companion animals. She developed an early interest in Radiology and Ultrasonography and completed a Masters degree in Small Animal Imaging in 2018.
In 2019 she moved to the UK with her family to embrace a new challenge and in 2021 met Jonathan and Gloria and joined the Vets4Pets team. To break the pressure of work Isa loves to share laughs and eat cookies!
Isabella has a very busy life and when she does get some free time she likes to cuddle her furry, squeaky Guinea Pigs, swim and visit new places. She is also an amazing cook and loves to sing recently joining the Haverhill Singers Choir.
Freya has been part of the Saffron Walden team since it opened in 2019 after transferring from another Vets4Pets. She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2016 and loves all aspects of nursing but if she can will avoid eye surgeries!
Freya's super organisational skills ensure Saffron Walden runs like clockwork behind those consult doors!
In her spare time she loves walking her dog Ned with her partner and completing cross stitch projects for their new home.
Jackie joined the team in January 2022 and brings with her a lot of clinical experience. After qualifying in 1990 from Myerscough College, Preston she has worked in several practices with a particular interest in surgery, x-ray and blood work. She has worked in out of hours practices providing critical care to the most difficult cases.
Out of work Jackie has two huskies which she enjoys doing canicross with, thats when she isn't hoovering!
Natalie joined the reception team in December 2021. Her working career began in Publishing where her role was in the Sales and Marketing of University Textbooks. After 25 years in Publishing she decided to completely retrain as a Maternity Support Worker at The Rosie Maternity Hospital in Cambridge where she stayed for 6 years. Natalie loved working in Maternity care but having swapped human babies for fur babies she couldn't be happier!
Although Natalie has no pets of her own she sponsors a Guide Dog and looks forward to seeing all the different animals coming into reception.
In her spare time Natalie enjoys running and is very proud to say she has completed the London Marathon 4 times and will happily show off her medals at any opportunity!
Emma started with Vets4Pets in May 2021 as a Clinical Care Advisor after working as an Animal Health Assistant for another Veterinary Practice. Emma has an extensive customer service background having previously worked as Cabin Crew and for Essex Police, she also has spent a number of years working within the Equine industry and worked for two Olympic Medalists.
Outside of work Emma spends most of her time with her three English Springer Spaniels two of which spend a lot of time at Saffron Walden and are very popular with the clients!
If not with the dogs she can be found on the side of football pitch watching her daughter play or supporting Cambridge United.
Jess started at Vets4Pets in November 2020 and her favourite part of the job is meeting all the clients and their pets, Jess can normally be found welcoming the dogs with the treat pot!
When Jess is not at work she loves being outdoors and you will find her either on the rugby pitch where she plays for a successful local team or volunteering for a conservation charity.
She has a Visla called Nala and two bunnies Daphne and Velma who are incredibly cute!
Bev started her career in South East London at the PDSA as a trainee Veterinary Nurse and worked her way up to Head Nurse she left there to start up and run a new private practice in Chelsea.
