We’re now offering some vaccinations

Meet the team

Jonathan joined the practice in June 2014. He qualified from Bristol University in 2006. He first worked in the Brecon Beacons before working in companion animal hospitals in both East Devon and North Wiltshire. Jonathan grew up locally and has decided it is finally time to return home to Somerset. He simply loves being a companion animal GP vet and has a particular interest in canine and feline medicine. Outside work Jonathan loves spending time with his partner Emma, their young children and their two dogs (Izzy and Milo). He is also very busy at the moment doing up his house.

Kelly joined the practice in January 2018, she qualified with Merit in 2008 after completing a foundation degree in Animal Science in 2004. Kelly spent the previous six years working in a local referral hospital as a Night Veterinary Nurse. She is now enjoying working back in small animal first opinion practice and enjoys the face to face time with clients that she had missed whilst in referral. She has also previously worked as a veterinary nurse in a local rescue centre which she found very rewarding. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her partner Shaun and her two children Robert-James and Evie-Pearl. She has a rescue cat called Buddy.

Sian has been working at the practice since the summer of 2019, but has been nursing since 2000 and still values her career caring for our patients. in her spare time Sian enjoys spending time with her two sons, her terrier Ollie and two cats Georgie and Donny.

Hannah joined the team in the autumn of 2019. She qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2008 and has worked in a variety of veterinary practices from large hospitals to small branch surgery's. She holds a COAPE diploma in companion animal behaviour ad enjoys passing on her knowledge during nurse consultations. Hannah has further training and particular interests in the use of local anaesthetics and pet bereavement support. Out of work Hannah enjoys swimming, spending time with her family and looking after her own animals Isla her deaf lurcher and her two cats William and Rio.

Kat joined the team in Taunton in August 2019 after completing the RCVS requirements for nursing. She is now in her forth year of university currently studying for her BSc (hons) in Veterinary nursing science. Kat enjoys all aspects of nursing with a particular interest in emergency and critical care and nursing rabbits. She has previously worked in a busy hospital. When she is not studying you will find Kat helping out on her partners farm or training our working Labrador puppy Fern. Kat also has an interest in native ponies, she has three welsh cobs and a Connemara all have been shown at County level. She has also competed with her older Welsh at British Dressage with success.

Lucy has been working at the practice since September 2010. All her working life she has worked with animals both large and small. Lucy went to college and gained her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and has been working in the veterinary field ever since. At home she enjoying spending time with her husband Adam, son Jacob and Brian the cat.

Ronnie has been working in the veterinary field for over 12 years and has been at this practice since January 2013. If she's not in the office you will find Ronnie as a welcoming face at the reception desk. Any pet insurance related queries, this is the lady to come to. Outside of work Ronnie is constantly on the go looking after her two children Jack and Hugo, dogs Ebony and Lottie, cats Archie and Vinnie and nine chickens.

Sophie has been working at the practice since June 2018 having previously worked at a qualified dental nurse. At home she enjoys spending time with her husband Sam and her two children Jack and Tommy and her Labrador Daisy.

Katie joined our reception team in April 2019. She completed her animal care studies in 2018 and her animal behaviour studies in 2019. When not working she's often out and about with her beloved dog a springer spaniel cross called Daizy.

Claire joined the practice in February 2019. She has many years experience working in large and small animal veterinary practice as a qualified veterinary nurse and receptionist. At home she loves spending time with her family, her dog Scarlett and car Frank.

Jo Joined the team on reception as Maternity cover in December 2019. Outside of work she enjoys walking her four dogs and spending time with her partner Neil, children, family and friends.
