I am Australian born and bred living in the UK with my family so we can see a bit of the world. I qualified as a vet nurse in Australia many moons ago and despite being in the job for as long as I have, I still love what I do. As well as my nursing qualifications I have a Diploma in Horse Husbandry and a Certificate in Anaesthetics which comes in handy every day. My family have had a huge variety of pets in my lifetime; Guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, rats, mice, dogs, cats, and fish have all been a part of our household at some time or another. If I had to choose a favourite it would have to be rats and horses. My favourite place in the world to be is sitting astride a horse. They are amazing to work with and always a challenge. I have no pets in the UK but I get my animal fix every day at work. Once I began working in the UK I became registered with the RCVS and spent about 3 years working for another Vets4Pets Team, and always up for a challenge I then took on the role as HVN at the brand new Tilehurst Branch. Since being in the UK I have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful and much loved pets. I love my team and enjoy being able to work with a variety of interesting animals and cases. When available I will be running nurse clinics every week day for nutritional guidance, weight clinics, parasite control and anything that concerns you about the general well being of your pet. I am also a PetPlan insurance advisor so feel free to talk to be about Insurance protection for your beloved cat, dog or rabbit. My mantra is - 'You're never too old to learn'!
