Meet the team
Hi, I'm Kat. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2012 and have worked in various practices across the North West since. I have been working for Vets4Pets since 2018 and I recently joined the team here at Walkden. I have a particular interest in medicine and I am currently working towards my certificate in small animal medicine.
When not at the practice I'm generally with my family, my husband, young son and 3 rescue cats- Mango, Hendricks and Bluebell.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, going to concerts and also swimming.
I have been in practice since 2008 and qualified in 2013 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I joined the team here at Walkden in 2016 and became a Joint Venture Partner in 2017. Before starting here I didn’t have any pets of my own, just a family cat and two dogs. However this all changed when our Practice Mascot Bambi decided to retire and move in with my partner and I.
Outside of work I enjoy baking; chocolate brownies being my speciality. I enjoy reading, and I’m a big fan of fantasy novels in particular, my favourite being The Lord Of The Rings. In 2016 and 2017 I got to fulfil my dream of visiting the real Middle Earth on two trips to New Zealand. I’m very much a geek and enjoy hosting geeky boardgame nights with friends. I have also taken up Archery and can often be found with a bow in my hand, whether that be in online computer games, or at my archery club practicing my aim.
I’ve always been animal obsessed and have grown up surrounded by all sorts of different pets that I had begged my parents for when I was younger. My current pets are my slightly crazy Border Collie, Star, and my extremely greedy guinea pig, Holly! I definitely have plans for more pets, I’d have a garden full of guinea pigs if I could!
In my spare time, I enjoy going out running with Star as I’m currently training for a half marathon, going to the gym and persuading my boyfriend to let me book our next holiday!
Hello my name is Anastasija and I have recently joined Vets4pets Walkden.
I qualified in 2013 and have a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary medicine.
I have achieved certificate in dog behaviour and physiology as well as certificate in dog grooming and I am still looking to expand my knowledge and skills in everything pet related.
Currently I do not own a pet due to a busy schedule, but hopefully I will one day.
I usually spend my spare time with friends and family. I do enjoy traveling, playing tennis and working out at the gym.
I have always loved animals and being around them, ever since I was a little girl I have grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits and small furries. I started work at Walkden V4P when the practice opened in 2015 as a client care advisor and worked my way up. I became the Practice Manager in 2020.
My furry family members at the moment with my Fiancé Lucy include, Ellie the Cavapoo, Izzie the Cockapoo, and our 1 eared foster fail Jonah the domestic shorthair! All crazy balls of fur!
Outside of work I like to spend time with my family & friends, going on nice hot sunny holiday’s, music concerts/festivals and trying to convince Lucy to let me have more fur babies!
Hiya, I’m Rachael and I joined the team here in October, 2022. I have always loved animals since I was very young and I have had dogs, cats, and rats through my door! At the moment, we just have our foster fail black cat, Nox.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the cinema, reading in my conservatory, going to loads of concerts, and travelling with my boyfriend Adam.
Vets4Pets Walkden is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
