Graduated: 1998 in South Africa

Having worked as an engineer, I went on to graduated as a vet in South Africa in 1998. Following this I moved to Portsmouth. Along with Mackie, I became a Joint Venture Partner in the Portsmouth surgery in 2001. Together with the other partners, there is now a group of associated practices within the Solent area: Companion Care Vets in Portsmouth, Fareham Park Gate and Fareham Collingwood, and Vets4Pets in Waterlooville and Havant.

I have a keen interest in exotic patient care, medicine and surgery.

I often use my engineering background and can be found tinkering, building and making things, at home along with my son.

Mackie graduated in 1998 from Onderstepoort in South Africa before working as a vet in the peak district in Derbyshire. He joined Companion Care Vets in Portsmouth in 2001. Together with Antony, he is a partner in associated practices in the Solent area (the Portsmouth, Fareham Park Gate and Waterlooville surgeries).

Mackie is married to Jess, also a vet, who worked in the Fareham Park Gate surgery for many years. They have two children, Zoe and Jake, two cats and a Labrador.

Graduated: in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 1988

Joined the team: 2019

I qualified in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 1988 and had my own practice for more than 10 years.

In 2002 I moved to the South Downs with my wife and two daughters to enjoy life in the countryside.

In my spare time I enjoys rambling, DIY and growing my own fruit and vegetables. I am also a local parish councillor for my area.

Graduated: 2023 from RVC, London

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London. In terms of my main veterinary area of interest I love surgery but, as a newly qualified vet, it’s all still very exciting!

I am new to the area as I moved to live with my partner and his German Shepherd called Bear. Outside of work we love to take him for walks especially up to the agility park.

Graduated: 2017 in Ankara University, Turkey

I graduated from Ankara University, and have been dedicated to animal care ever since, which was my childhood dream. I gained valuable experience during my student years and later served as a physician at a trauma centre for stray animals. Now a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons I continue my passion for animal welfare at Waterlooville Vets4Pets.

During my free time I like to explore the world with my husband (also a veterinary surgeon), and spending time with my cat, Shela.

Joined the team: December 2024

I joined the team at Companion Care Vets Portsmouth in 2007, where I started on receptionist and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2013. I went on gain my post graduate certificate in veterinary business management and become the practice manager in 2022.

During my time at Portsmouth, I assisted my now Joint Venture Partners open Waterlooville Vets4Pets, so when the chance to become a practice owner in Waterlooville came up, along with Antony and Mackie, it felt right.

My passion lies with patient care and owner support, so I very much look forward to getting to know our local pet community.

Joined the team: December 2023

I qualified in 2016 after completing a degree in Veterinary Nursing. I have since worked mostly in first opinion practices where I have developed an interest in consults and inpatient care.

I have recently completed a certificate in behaviour and enjoy utilising my knowledge to help those patients who are nervous in clinic.

I have 3 children and a rescue Bengal called Sif. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, going for forest walks and I am an avid reader.

Joined the team: November 2017

I have been working in practice since leaving school and first qualified as an Animal Nursing Assistant in 2009, going on to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in September 2013. I have also completed a certificate in Feline Nursing and finished this in September 2016.
I love all aspects of nursing, however my main interests are surgery and inpatient care.
The majority of my spare time is spent with my husband Charlie and son Harry enjoying various leisure activities, visiting family and friends and walking my gorgeous Bichon Frise, Alba.

Qualified: 2019 - Sparsholt College, Winchester

I have worked in the veterinary industry since 2009 in various roles before completing the veterinary nurse diploma and qualifying as an RVN in 2019.

I have always had a passion for animals and have a keen interest in canine behaviour since rescuing my own dog who is fear reactive.

When I am not working you will most likely find me walking or canicross running through the woods/countryside with my sidekick Frankenstein the Doberman.

Qualified: University Centre Sparsholt July 2022

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in July 2022 and enjoy every second of my job.

I always loved animals and once I discovered the role of a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I realised it would be the best fit for me. I enjoy every aspect of nursing, especially anaesthetic monitoring, caring for critically ill and exotic patients, dentals and nurse clinics.

Away from work, I like to cycle and roller skate in my spare time.

Before joining the Waterlooville Vets4Pets team, I have always worked with animals. I worked as a competition groom with horses, and previously at a referral vets.

In my spare time I like to walk mine and my partners two Labradors, Fern and Otto. I’ve recently added a new addition to the family, a baby Malinois puppy called Shadow! When I’m not walking my dogs you can find me at the stables riding my horses.

I joined the company in November 2013 at Companion Care Vets Portsmouth,
I then transferred to Waterlooville Vets4Pets in 2016 when the surgery opened and I became the Reception Manager.

I have 30 years customer service experience which stands me in good stead for the diversity of this role.

I am married with two teenage children and a border collie called Loki, who the kids call  my favourite child.

I’m so excited to be working at Waterlooville Vets4Pets! I love animals and it’s great to be part of such a caring team looking after them.

I have a young daughter who is just starting school and a pet bunny called Lily who is 11 years old and still going strong.

We enjoy going for family woodland walks and exploring and seeing new places. Our favourite holiday is a trip to Cornwall and spending time on the beautiful beaches there.

Since joining the team, I have really enjoyed getting to know our clients and their pets. I grew up around a lot of animals: cats, dogs and horses mainly but a few small furries too.

I have three children and a fur baby called Buddy who is a Parsons Jack Russell and probably my favourite member of my household! I enjoy taking short breaks away with my family and friends to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy life.

This is my first customer and administration based role but I am enjoying learning how to best serve our clients and how to help make the days run smoothly for our dedicated vets and nurses.
