I graduated from Edinburgh in 2004 having also read zoology at UCL and have been working as a small animal veterinary surgeon ever since. Work initially took me to South Wales and then Kent before covering the length and breadth of England as a locum for the last 3 ½ years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity now to branch out on my own and am looking forward to meeting the animals, and their families, of Watford. I am currently owned by a young Irish terrier called Hattie who keeps me on my toes and believes she is the boss of all that she surveys. When I am not working or busy with Hattie entertainment, I enjoy reading, going to the theatre and travelling, although I suspect the travels will have to be kept within the UK for the foreseeable future.

Hello, I’m Charlotte. I’ve always had a love of animals and knew I wanted to work with them from a young age. I graduated from Middlesex University in 2012 as a qualified Veterinary Nurse and I have since worked in a number of large practices. I joined Vets4Pets in March 2017 as their Head Nurse. You will mainly see me for nurse consults, however I also care for your pets when they have to stay with us. At home I have two Guinea Pigs, Abra and Omi, as well as my hand-reared kitten Henry (at 10 years old I’m not sure I can still call him that!). I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Hello there! My name is Mel and I have been in the industry since Feb 2013; I have been a Veterinary Care Assistant here since Jan 2020. I love working with the team here at Watford Vets4Pets - we work so well together and have a good laugh along the way. I am also lucky to get the opportunity to say hello to so many gorgeous, furry faces here.

Outside of work I spend my time weightlifting in the gym, reading in my garden, and avoiding townie life by going for walks in the wilderness.

I am Demelza one of the VCA's. I started my journey here at Vets4Pets Watford as a Client Care Advisor back in 2021, putting my passion for animals into my work has helped me grow as a person and develop the skills I needed to work my way up to becoming a Veterinary Care Assistant. I love meeting all your wonderful pets and I really enjoy making them feel at home and giving them the TLC they need to help them get back onto their little paws.

My human is Emily, the vet, and I come to work with her every day. She claims it’s so I’m not left on my own, I say it’s so I can keep an eye on proceedings and make sure everything is ship-shape. I work on the principle that everyone loves me (who wouldn’t) and greet everyone with a bounce. I am the official treat tester to ensure only the best is stocked in the consult rooms and at reception. When I’m not checking that everyone is doing their jobs properly I can be found with my faithful chewy bone or practising my most elegant photo poses – on my back, legs in the air is my current favourite.

I’ve worked here at Vets4Pets Watford since 2015; I absolutely love my job - from the work environment, to the clients, to the animal patients… the latter making every day so worthwhile!

I have always had a huge passion for animals, and from a young age knew I wanted to work in this industry.

As the first point of contact for all of our clients, it really is very rewarding when I know I’ve helped with making their experience great. Having been here for so long, I can truly say it’s been wonderful getting to know the regular faces and it’s lovely to be able to share in their joys.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends (or non-furry!)
