Meet the team
I graduated for the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2013 and have since worked in various practices in Kent. After graduation I worked in mixed practice for the first year and then decided to focus purely on small animal work. This has included some charity work, more recently at the Lord Whisky Animal Sanctuary in Stelling Minnis.
I have a keen interest in Feline Medicine and Surgery and I am currently studying for a Certificate in Feline Practice. I am also particularly interested in care of geriatric animals with chronic conditions and in Feline Cardiology.
At home I have 6 rescue cats with various ailments that call on me for their every whim. I also have 3 rescue horses that live in Dover. When not spending time with the various animals I enjoy reading, I sing in Barham Church choir and I am always up for a new challenge, from cider making to kite surfing.
I have lived in Kent all my life. I was born and grew up in Folkestone and have since lived in various parts of Kent. Currently I live in Hythe.
I graduated from Padua University (Italy) in 1998 and moved to the UK in 1999.
My workload has been varied covering different veterinary paths, including, public health, licensing for local authorities and small animal practice including charity work.
I have a keen interest in chronic pain management and since 2003 I have practiced in acupuncture in dogs, horses, rabbits and goats.
I like in Kent with my two cats and horse.
Outside of veterinary work I enjoy horse riding, tennis, gardening, and when the weather is poor I like to knit, cross stitch and read.
After graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2023, I joined the team at Whitstable Vets4Pets.
I have an interest in all areas of veterinary practice, but I particularly enjoy medicine, working up cases and building a rapport with patients.
Outside of veterinary, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and my cat Bella. I like going to the gym, a nice meal out and reading/writing.
I have been in practice nursing for 18 years and have worked in various practices in Kent, most recently I was head nurse in a small animal practice in Ashford Kent. I have also recently done some nursing work at the charity, Lord Whisky Animal Sanctuary in Stelling Minnis.
I have a keen interest in medical cases, nursing all animals in the hospital. I also have an interest in feline cardiology due to one of my own cats being diagnosed with a heart condition 6 years ago. Something I wish to pursue more and further my training in is canine and feline behaviour.
I have a 14 year old son who is very animal orientated, at home we have 2 dogs, 4 rescue cats, 2 rabbits and 9 guinea pigs. I also have 2 horses who are kept in Dover. When not spending time with the animals, my son and I enjoy watching movies together and playing board games.
I have lived in Kent all my life, I grew up in Tunbridge Wells but for the last 15 years I have lived in Ashford.
I moved over from South Africa in 2001 and spent 13 years working in the retail environment. In 2014 I decided to do what I’ve always wanted, and started my journey to becoming a veterinary nurse.
I started my training in a practice in Blackheath, London, and after taking some time out to have my son, I eventually qualified in July of 2018 while working in Ashford. I worked in pet insurance for 6 months before joining Whitstable Vets4Pets in November 2020 and I am loving it!
I enjoy all the different aspects of nursing, and working in a small team allows us to have the opportunity to work in all areas.
I live in Larkfield with my husband and son and our 3 cats, Maisie, Captain Carrot and Parsnip. Most of my spare time is taken up by after-school activities, playing in the park (you’re never too old to enjoy playing on the swings!) and meeting up with friends and family.
I have worked with animals since leaving school. I started working for an animal charity in Jersey at the age of 16, rehabilitating domestic/wild animals in our care to find new homes or be released, before moving into the veterinary hospital. In 2005 I moved to the UK and started working for a large animal charity in 2006 as a deputy manager in one of their centres. In 2011 I became manager there and I left to join Vets4Pets Whitstable in 2021
I’m excited for this next journey in my life, learning new skills and gaining more knowledge about small animals.
In my spare time I’m either studying, cooking, running or looking after my 4 cats, 2 dogs and 14 rescue guinea pigs.
In 2005 I moved to Kent from Jersey and have lived in different parts over the last 17 years.
I have worked in hospitality/management for 15 years. I wanted a change in career, so I applied for a sales assistant role in the Pets at Home store.
This enlightened my love for working with animals. After working with the vet team within the store, I was given the opportunity to become a Veterinary Care Assistant.
I am looking forward to starting my veterinary career and and where it will take me.
In my spare time I love to bake cakes and care for my 3 dogs, 2 rabbits and my hamster lil Gary.
I joined the practice mid pandemic, with no previous veterinary experience. From the beginning it's been very rewarding, and each day I learn something new. I love the social interaction with our clients and can honestly say it’s a joy to come to work.
Growing up we always had cats at home, and I’m continuing this tradition, although I would love to have a dog one day. I share my home with Kedi, a rescue cat who was 9 when I rehomed her. It took a long time for her to come out of her shell, and six years on she is living her best life and not looking or acting her age!
My main hobbies are long coastal walks and photography. I much prefer being behind the camera rather than in front and can often be found on Whitstable beach at sunset taking far too many photos. My first love was fashion and art, studying at Fort Pitt, and I still like to get creative with my sewing machine when time allows.
Whitstable, with its quirky art scene and wonderful people, has been my home for 25 years and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
Previously I was a manager within the NHS for 15 years and when the opportunity came for me to join Vets4Pets Whitstable I was excited for a change.
I have always had a love for animals since I was a child. I had horses from the age of 9 and we have always had family dogs. Currently I have my horse Conker, a rescue pony Georgie and a rescue English bulldog called Lolly.
I live in a rural village near Dover with my husband and 5 year old son.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends and horse riding.
After taking some time away from work to welcome my second child, I knew I wanted to return to working with animals in some capacity.
Having previously worked for a luxury dog accessories company and then going on to own my own dog lifestyle store, when the opportunity came up to work for Whitstable Vets4Pets I jumped at it! Animals have always played a huge role in my life and I have ridden and owned horses since I was young.
I live in Thanet with my husband and Two daughters along side Winston the pug, BMO and Penelope the cats, Luna the hamster and Ewan the horse.
Veterinary Surgeon Liz and Veterinary Nurse Jodie have years of veterinary experience between them and have decided to open their own practice together in Whitstable. They have both lived in Kent all their life and have worked in various practices across the county. Liz has a keen interest in Feline Medicine and Surgery and the care of geriatric animals with chronic conditions. Jodie also has a keen interest in feline medicine, in particular cardiology and canine and feline behaviour. Liz and Jodie look forward to welcoming you and your pet to their practice.
