Meet the team
Graduating from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1982, Steve has worked in many areas of the veterinary field including Universities, Charities, and the Armed Forces.
Steve is the Vets4Pets Woking practice owner, and a veterinary surgeon here too.
Outside of work, his family occupy most of his free time.

Originally joining us as a locum vet, Stefan has now taken on a permanent role at the practice.
Stefan enjoys both consulting and surgery, and is skilled in both areas.
At home, he has three British Short Hair cats.

Originally from Middlesbrough, Ashleigh moved to Surrey after studying at Middlesex University/CAW where she graduated in 2017.
Ashleigh joined the Woking team in 2017 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, and since then has taken on the role of Clinical Coach for our Student Nurses, and has also been promoted to Head Veterinary Nurse.
At home, Ashleigh has a working Labrador called Evie, and little Oscar the Chihuahua.
Having worked in Farnham Veterinary Hospital, Rebecca joined us some years ago as a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse.
At home, Rebecca has a bird named Bobby, a Domestic Longhair cat, and 2 Collie's.
Mel started with the team in 2018 as a Veterinary Care Assistant and then began her Veterinary Nurse training in 2019.
Qualifying in 2022, Mel is enjoying being a Registered Veterinary Nurse and the hard work that comes along with this role.
Mel has an interest in animal behaviour, laser therapy, and anaesthesia.
At home she has a cat called Mollie, and would one day love to offer a home to a rescue dog.
Joining the team as a Veterinary Care Assistant, Lauren has progressed to the role of our Student Veterinary Nurse.
Studying at MYF Training, Lauren will undertake 3 years of vocational training to graduate as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
At home, Lauren has a dog called Cola.
Joining the team as a Veterinary Care Assistant, Ilaira has progressed to the role of Student Veterinary Nurse.
Ilaria is undertaking 3 years of vocational training to graduate as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
At home, Ilaria has a variety of pets including 2 dogs, and rabbits.
Originally from Australia, Ainslee moved to the UK in 2017 after completing a Bachelors Degree in Conversation Biology.
Ainslee joined Vets4Pets in Stratford-Upon-Avon as a Client Care Manager, before moving to Woking to join the team as a VCA (Veterinary Care Assistant).
In April of 2024, Ainslee begun her journey as a Student Veterinary Nurse, Ainslee will undergo 3 years of vocational training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Back in Australia, Ainslee has a pet Black-Headed Python called Nofeet.
Gemma joined the reception team in 2016.
Always happy to help, Gemma is busy booking appointments for you, amongst 101 other reception duties.
Outside of work, Gemma has fostered dogs for charities and currently lives with her 4 resident dogs; Rosie, Jess, and working gun-dog's Murphy and Primrose.
Jo joined the Vets4Pets Woking reception team in 2017.
By your side for every-and-all types of queries, Jo is on hand to help you get booked in and take care of you when you need us - From the little things to the big things.
Jo loves the bulldog breeds and has owned a British Bulldog, an American Bulldog, and now has a French Bulldog cross named Dottie.
Jo also opened up her home to an abandoned cat that arrived with us a few years ago. Wickett is now best friends with Dottie and they get up to plenty of mischief together.
Starting in 2019, Debbie joined the reception team part-time.
You'll often see her behind the Reception desk on Saturdays, where she is always happy to help!
At home, Debbie has a very sweet Golden Retriever -X- Chowchow called Oliver.
Debbie also has our very own three-legged cat called Tammy who arrived at the practice as a stray with life-changing injuries. Debbie kindly gave Tammy a second chance by taking her on and supporting her after surgery.
Marion joined our Reception team some years ago, and enjoys the variety that the role offers.
At home, Marion has a real mix; with a Rottweiler, a Labradoodle, and newest family member; Fifi the Pomeranian.
Marlene is a self-confessed animal lover, and enjoys meeting and greeting all the animals that come into the practice, making sure they feel at home.
Marlene is a voracious reader, enthusiastic gardener, and loves rambling in the countryside.
She is also the proud owner of a mad ginger cat, Cuthbert (who thinks he’s a dog).
Having been a client at the practice for many years, when an opening arose for a Receptionist, Sylvia was excited to take on this new challenge.
Having owned dogs for most of her life, Sylvia currently has German Shepherds, and can't see herself opting for smaller breeds any time soon!
A newest starter, Eleanor joined the practice to work some Saturday's with us.
Eleanor is very familiar with the veterinary sector, and has fitted in perfectly with the team thanks to her friendly nature and helpful personality.

We offer on-site parking available for all customers and are open Monday - Saturday.
