I began my career as a bird keeper at London Zoo, and after a few years moved into animal welfare work. While working for the RSPCA I retrained as a Veterinary nurse, qualifying in 1999.

My interests lie in preventative healthcare and avian nursing.

I live with my three cats, Shirley, Rita and Brenda, and my aviary birds.
