Jenny qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 2000 before moving to the East Midlands where she has spent her entire professional career. After spending the first year in first opinion practice, Jenny spent a couple of years at a referral hospital in Derby. In 2003, Jenny opened her own practice in Mansfield, within the Vets for Pets Group, which she helped grow to a very busy first opinion practice with a large team of vets and nurses. After more than a decade, and with a young family, Jenny made the difficult decision to move out of clinical practice in 2015.

Jenny then went on to work within various development and management roles within the Vets for Pets family, whilst still continuing with some ad hock clinical work within the region.

We are delighted to welcome Jenny to our growing team at Newark Vets for Pets! Jenny thoroughly enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice, especially soft tissue surgery, and loves the variety of case load which each day brings.

At home Jenny lives with her fiancé, two teenage children and a menagerie of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, hens and sheep! She is a keen runner and enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, cycling and all things outdoors.

I qualified in Portugal in 2022, but after my first practice, my boyfriend and I decided to move to the UK.

I joined Vets for Pets Newark in January 2024, where I'm enjoying the opportunity to learn more every day! My main interests are preventative medicine, first opinion consultations and soft tissue surgery.

Back home in Portugal, I have the most loving Golden Retriever. In my spare time, I like to explore different cities in this beautiful country!

Having worked in the veterinary industry since 2014 and qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2017, I have gained experience from a variety of small animal and mixed practices. I have been at Vets for Pets Newark since the day it opened in March 2018, with the exception of a brief spell at a different branch. I have loved seeing the practice grow from day one, to where we are now. It is lovely seeing the familiar faces of our clients who are sharing our journey with us.

At home, I have a daughter, a Labrador and two feisty felines who all keep me very busy in my 'spare' time. There's always an adventure to be had with those four. If I get a second to myself, I love to go horse-riding, play netball, socialising with friends, or of course a good series under a blanket on the sofa!

In practice, my main interests are medical nursing, pharmacology, nutrition & of course, Labradors!

I joined Vets for Pets Newark in December 2023.

I qualified in 2017, and am currently undertaking a Medical Nursing certificate. My main interests in practice are medical nursing, dentistry and pain management.

In my spare time, I enjoy shopping and aerial arts. At home, I have a very fiesty hand-reared cat, who always keeps me on my toes.

Hi, my name is Kirsty. I joined Vets for Pets Newark in January 2022 as a VCA having previously worked at an out-of-hours practice. I love working in the veterinary field and enjoy all the daily challenges my role brings due to everyday being so different. Having started my Student VN training in September 2024, I am excited to learn even more to improve my skills and experience as I work towards becoming fully qualified.
