I graduated 25 years ago in Hannover, Germany and worked in several small animal practices before moving to Cardiff with my husband in 1994. We currently live in Barry with our son and three cats; Ceri, Ginny & Lupin. I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice but have a particular interest in feline medicine, which I'm looking to further intensify in the future. My patients are mostly dogs, cats and rabbits; I'm also experienced with rats, hamsters, fish, cage birds and exotics.

Hello, I'm Sophie, one of the receptionists here at Barry Vets4Pets. I might seem familiar because I started off at pets at home and was working there for about a year before moving to the vets. I absolutely love working here and meeting all the lovely clients and their incredibly sweet pets.

My love for animals have made me decide to become a vegetarian and I have been for over a year. I have an interest in Sharks and to swim with them is an ambition of mine.

I currently own 5 dogs - Amber, Diego, Indie, Tonny & Arya so when I'm not in work I get plenty of exercise and a lot of cuddling. I also like spending any other free time with my friends socialising.
