Meet the team
I graduated from Edinburgh (Royal Dick Veterinary College) in 1992. I have been privileged to have worked in a wide variety of different types of small animal practice, including RSPCA, university first opinion and private practices. I have a passion for giving the best client care that I can and strive to offer the level of service that I would want for my own pet. I am incredibly fortunate in working with a fantastic team who are key in helping me deliver that vision. The opportunity arose to become a joint venture partner with Vets4Pets and now I am turning my dreams into reality. In my spare time I enjoy coxing pilot gig boats and am a member of Falmouth Gig Club. Pilot gigs are beautiful 32 foot long wooden boats that are rowed by a crew of six and are so named because they would take pilots out to incoming vessels 'back in the day'. Nowadays they are used for racing or exploring the hidden creeks of the Fal. I unwind by reading and gardening.
I grew up on the sunny shores of the Seychelles, South Africa. I qualified in 2014 and worked in SA before making the move to the UK in 2017. I've spent over half of my career working as an emergency vet but enjoy working with wildlife too.
In my spare time, I'm a water sports enthusiast. I enjoy swimming, surfing, music festivals and anything that gets me outdoors.
Advanced Practitioner in veterinary cardiology
BVSc CertVC MRCVS
Oliver is an RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Cardiology.
He graduated from the University of Bristol Veterinary School in 2002. After working in mixed practice for 2 years he started training in Veterinary cardiology, working at a busy small animal hospital practice in Bristol. Working alongside Dr Luca Ferasin, he obtained his Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in 2010. Since then Oliver has worked in busy small animal hospital vet practices and has been accepting cardiology referrals since 2010.
In 2014 Oliver moved with his family to Cornwall and became Cornwall’s first resident veterinary cardiologist.
From July 2018, Oliver established an independent mobile small animal vet cardiology service providing care for patients across Cornwall in the familiar surroundings of their primary care practice.
I graduated as a registered nurse in 2017 from Hartpury college. Since qualifying I have worked in referral, emergency and general practices around South Wales.
I joined Vets4Pets recently after making the move to Cornwall to be close to the stunning coastline. One of my main interests in practice is emergency care and I am currently studying towards a certificate qualification in this.
Outside of work I love exploring beaches and seaside towns with my two cheeky rescue Yorkies.
I joined Vets4Pets in 2019 and really enjoy all aspects of being on the front desk. Since joining I have taken a client care course and have had bereavement training. This summer I will be undertaking a mental health first aid course. Outside of work I enjoy walking, sea swimming, socialising and hanging out with my fluffy rescue cat!
