Meet the team
I qualified as a vet in 2011, and have been working in small animal practice since. For the last 5 years, I have been working as locum around Nottinghamshire, including covering holidays here at Sutton-in-Ashfield Vets4Pets. I finally decided it was time to settle down in one place again and took the job here as Head Veterinary Surgeon. I’ve brought lots of ideas with me from the many practices I’ve worked at, to ensure your pets will receive the best care possible! My main interests are anaesthesia, pain management and surgery.
I live with my husband, our 12 year old Kelpie, and 2 cats, and we have a 2 year old daughter who likes to boss us all around. We enjoy camping, hiking and travelling whenever we can.
Veterinary Surgeon & Joint Venture Partner
BVMediSci (Hons), BVM BVS (Hons), MRCVS
I am the practice partner here at Vets4Pets Sutton in Ashfield. I have worked for Vets4Pets since 2012, initially at Mansfield Vets4Pets before setting up my own practice here in Sutton in Ashfield in 2014. I was also a practice partner at Kirkby in Ashfield Vets4Pets for 19 months but I have chosen to leave my partnership there to concentrate solely on Sutton in Ashfield Vets4Pets. I enjoy all aspects of my job but I have a particular interest in small animal medicine, exotic animal medicine and dermatology. I especially love to see small furries and I am proud to say that our practice is a silver accredited rabbit friendly practice as deemed by the RWAF. I have recently enrolled onto a Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice where, upon successful completion of the course, I may apply to become an advanced practitioner in this field. I have 4 dogs (a Border Collie, two Cocker Spaniels and a Sprocker), 1 cat, 3 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, and six chickens! I am often seen with resident hedgehogs at my home that are either too small to hibernate, or are being rehabilitated due to illness. In my spare time I enjoy walking the dogs, meals out and going swimming when time permits!
Head Veterinary Nurse & Joint Venture Partner
RVN, Clinical Coach, Oral Care Nurse, Pet Health Councillor
Registered Veterinary Nurse + Clinical Coach
I started with Vets 4 Pets in November 2019. I completed my Veterinary Nurse training at my previous practice in Selston and studied at Bottle Green Training. I have a keen interest in exotic animals and love that we see lots here at Sutton in Ashfield.
At home I have 4 Ducks and 20 Chickens. My partner Amber has 2 Cats called Patchy and Nimbles and a Staffie called Socks.
I started at Vets4pets as a receptionist in march 2017, I am enjoying meeting all the clients and their pets! I qualified from Nottingham Trent University July 2020. I love all animals and can't wait to meet you all and your pets!
I have recently joined the practice to become a Client Care Advisor and I love it so much! I’ve worked for several years in the NHS but I have a huge passion for animals and made a wonderful career change. I have been heavily involved with Angels Small Paws dog rescue (where I adopted one of my dogs from) nothing makes me happier than seeing pets healthy and happy with loving families!
I have a few pets myself, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, a cat and a tortoise. In my spare time I like to go walking, swimming and spending time with family and friends.
I can’t wait to meet everyone and their pets! I’m always available for a cuddle or tummy scratch!
