I qualified as a vet in 2011, and have been working in small animal practice since. For the last 5 years, I have been working as locum around Nottinghamshire, including covering holidays here at Sutton-in-Ashfield Vets4Pets. I finally decided it was time to settle down in one place again and took the job here as Head Veterinary Surgeon. I’ve brought lots of ideas with me from the many practices I’ve worked at, to ensure your pets will receive the best care possible! My main interests are anaesthesia, pain management and surgery.
I live with my husband, our 12 year old Kelpie, and 2 cats, and we have a 2 year old daughter who likes to boss us all around. We enjoy camping, hiking and travelling whenever we can.

I am the practice partner here at Vets4Pets Sutton in Ashfield. I have worked for Vets4Pets since 2012, initially at Mansfield Vets4Pets before setting up my own practice here in Sutton in Ashfield in 2014. I was also a practice partner at Kirkby in Ashfield Vets4Pets for 19 months but I have chosen to leave my partnership there to concentrate solely on Sutton in Ashfield Vets4Pets. I enjoy all aspects of my job but I have a particular interest in small animal medicine, exotic animal medicine and dermatology. I especially love to see small furries and I am proud to say that our practice is a gold accredited rabbit friendly practice as deemed by the RWAF. I have recently enrolled onto a Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice where, upon successful completion of the course, I may apply to become an advanced practitioner in this field. I have 5 dogs (a Border Collie, four spaniels), 2 cat, 3 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, and six chickens! I am often seen with resident hedgehogs at my home that are either too small to hibernate, or are being rehabilitated due to illness. In my spare time I enjoy walking the dogs, meals out and gardening.

I qualified in 2016 but I've been with Vets4Pets for the past 7 years working at various different practices; most recently at Kirkby in Ashfield Vets4Pets. I absolutely love my job and I've recently been given the fantastic opportunity to become the Head Nurse at Sutton in Ashfield Vets4Pets working alongside a wonderful team. I am a trained Pet Health Counsellor and I have a keen interest in weight management and dental health and I help to run weight management and dental clinics at the practice. I'm also a Clinical Coach so I'm able to help train student nurses during their years at University or College. I have a German Shepherd cross called Max and two rabbits. I absolutely love hedgehogs and I'm often rehabilitating them! I've recently released by hand-reared hedgehog 'Hattie'.

I joined the Sutton-in-Ashfield team in 2014 and have worked as a receptionist for the last 3 years. In September 2018 I will be starting my training to become a veterinary nurse which I’m very excited about! I love being able to work with animals every day and enjoy being involved in their care. At home I have a dog called Nancy and a cat called Cindy-Lou, both of which were brought into us at the vets and I couldn’t resist!

“I joined the team in 2018 on reception after graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Equine Sports Science. Since then I have been lucky enough to undertake a Veterinary Nursing apprenticeship, with the practice through, Bottle Green Training and will qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in summer 2022.

I love working in general practice and like how varied work is from day to day but I do have particular interests in Emergency, critical and in-patient care. I also enjoy carrying out nurse consultations and being able to build a good relationship with our clients and their pets.

At home I have two cats, Tilly and Nacho, as well as a pony called Wiggles. In my spare time I like to go out competing with Wiggles, go hiking and spend weekends away camping.”

“I joined the Sutton in Ashfield Vets4Pets team in August 2019 as a member of reception, in February 2021 I changed roles to veterinary care assistant and in April I will be starting my training to become a veterinary nurse. I've always had a love for animals so I'm excited to start my new career! At home me and my partner have a senior cat called Jack who we fostered from Feline and Wildlife Rescue Nottingham but quickly fell in love with him and ended up adopting him.”

"I started working at vets 4 pets in July 2019 and have experienced all the highs and lows of the veterinary world. My favourite part of the job is the relationships you build up with longstanding owners and their pets, you get to be a small part of their life year after year. I love meeting new fur-babies and will absolutely want a cuddle. "
