Meet the team

Hi, I’m Jennifer but everyone calls me Jen and I am one of the new Partners. I grew up locally but went to the Royal Veterinary College in London. Since qualifying in 2014 I have come back up North and now live locally again. Currently I have no pets of my own but enjoy cat sitting when my parents go on holiday. Outside of work I love to go swimming, especially outside and enjoy walking/hiking with friends followed by a good pub meal. I look forward to meeting you and treating your fury companions.

Hi, I'm Zoe! I hail originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and graduated from Glasgow in 2016. Being a veterinarian has always been a childhood dream of mine and I feel very lucky to be able to do what I love as a job. I have one black cat called Skitty and a dog called Scampi with my partner and they are the best! My other passions are good food, sleeping in, music, and travelling the world.

Hi, I’m Alison! I’m a local girl and it’s great to be back working near to home. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon! I studied Bioveterinary Sciences at Liverpool University before heading up the Edinburgh University for my veterinary degree, where I graduated in 2017. I worked at another local practice for 3 years before moving to join the team at Bolton Vets4Pets in October 2020. When I’m not at work I can normally be found renovating my house with my fiancé, playing korfball or out for drinks with friends.

Hi, I'm Jochem. I am from Belgium and have been in the uk for the past 7 years. I studied veterinary medicine at Ghent University and got my degree in 2018. I achieved my advanced practitionar status in Zoological medicine via Improve international and Harper Adams university. As such I am more then happy to treat any furry, scaly or feathery pets. I worked at another practice and a veterinary hospital over the past 7 years before moving closer home to the Bolton vets4pets team. I enjoy board games, reading and gaming on my time off alongside spending time with my wife and 3 cats ; Spook, Merry and Pumpkin.

Alice
Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, my name is Chris and I’m the head veterinary nurse here at Vets4Pets. I have 12 years in practice experience and I qualified in 2010 as a registered veterinary nurse. I did all my training in a veterinary hospital, post qualification I was the sole night nurse for an emergency service so I am experienced with patient care and A&E practice. I live with my two kittens Emmy and Alister, both have had one eye removed as babies so if you see a one eyed cat on someone’s shoulder when you visit, it will probably be one of mine.

Hi I’m Karla one of the new Partner’s here at Bolton Vets4Pets!! I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012 after gaining my degree at Myerscough College. After being a student nurse here 7 years ago I re-joined in 2018. I have gained further experience in both small animal practice and referral practice, as a Dermatology Nurse. I am lucky to be part of a great team and doing a job I enjoy.
Out of work I enjoy horse riding. I also have a Border terrier named Walter Ernest. I am looking forward to seeing how he grows up and taking him on many walks. Other passed times I enjoy are spending quality time with my family and friends.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets

I have a Red Fox Labrador called Lola who is gorgeous but very needy 🙈 I also have a cat called Bella who loves a stroke, however mostly prefers time out in her bed. I am looking forward to experiencing lots more here at Vets4Pets along with ensuring that I continue to progress in my personal development to allow me to provide even better care for all the lovely animals who attend the setting.

Hi, my names Liv!
I qualified in October 2021. Since being a little girl I have always wanted to work in veterinary medicine, I began at a clinic local to me as an animal care assistant then worked my way up, I have done this since I was 16 years old!
I have an advanced practitioner status in exotic species such as avian, reptile, small furies and wildlife. I also have a diploma in nursing zoo species! This is where my interest lies!
Outside of work I love socialising with my friends, watching true crime documentaries, and cuddling with my 4 gorgeous rescue cats; Thelma, Thorin, Sue & Davide!
I look forward to seeing all your pets, no matter the species!

Hi, I'm Laura. I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2011. Since then I have worked in first opinion GP practice, mixed practice, for Pet Blood Bank and in a hospital setting. Some of you may even recognise my face as I have previously worked here! I had what I call my sabbatical, working at Myerscough College as a Clinical Tutor, but I missed being in practice and Iove being back with the wonderful team here at Vets 4 Pets.

Abby
Student Nurse

Hello, I’m Louise – Bolton’s appointed practice Manager and non clinical JVP/practice owner. I joined the team as a receptionist in 2015 with qualifications in animal welfare and behaviour. As an ex educational ranger I love all creatures great and small, but have a particular soft spot for reptiles and insects; at one point housing over 60 varieties from giant snails to cockroaches and more. Since joining V4P my menagerie has downsized to two cats and couple of Giant African Snails. Although there is a dog shaped hole in my life waiting to be filled. I just need to convince my partner that we need one too! I look forward to chatting with our clients old and new very soon.

Hello, I’m Caroline one of the receptionists at Bolton Vets4Pets. I joined the family in April 2015, and have been making my way through my ANA (Animal Nursing Assistant) course for the last 12 months. When I’m not on front desk you’ll usually find me at home painting something, outdoors on a long walk or binge watching T.V shows with my husband. I started out here with two male cats, Nim and Roy but it didn’t take long for me to end up with a third addition. Her name is Dot and she was brought to the practice after being fished out of a bin by an RSPCA officer at just a few weeks old. She settled in nicely and the boys are loving having a little sister. Now we have another addition called Hilda. My favourite thing about working in the practice has to be the people. Our clients are fantastic and the Puppy and Kitten Cuddles are always a bonus too. Look forward to seeing you soon.

Hi my name is Julie and I am one of the receptionists here. I joined the Vets4Pets family in September 2015 working two days a week. My nickname is “Ju’s brews” as I do like a nice coffee to keep me going being one of the older team members! I love working here with the team, as I have always loved animals and really enjoy meeting our lovely clients and cuddling their pets. My family consists of 4 cats and my human family are a very patient husband and a daughter who is cat crazy like me.

Hello there, I’m Karis. I joined this wonderful team in October 2021. I’ve spent the whole of my life loving animals from learning all I can, working with them and owning them, so much so I am a fur mum to anything from fur to scales. When I’m not working or with the fur children you will find me painting, wood burning or finding wildlife to take a photo of while out walking with my husband. I look forward to seeing you and your fur family.

My name is Ashley and I'm one of the newest Client Care Advisors here at Bolton Vets4Pets. I joined the practice in April 2022, and it has been delightful to be a part of this incredible team so far. I've always been a passionate about working with and caring for animals, and I've enjoyed having all sorts of companions growing up, from small furries to big furries, to fish and stick insects!

Hello, I’m Esmée one of the Client Care Advisors at Bolton Vets4Pets. I joined the family in August 2024 - I’ve recently graduated at the University of Liverpool with a degree in Bio veterinary Science and have hopes to become a Veterinary nurse or specialise in rehabilitation such as hydrotherapy as I’m currently completing an online course in this area. Out of work I enjoy cooking, going to the gym, watching series such as Game of Thrones and trying new restaurants! I truly love working with animals and wouldn’t swap my profession for the world.
