Exciting News...
We are delighted to announce that our practice has had an extension, as well as getting a new look and feel. But don’t worry, you’ll still receive the same expert care from the same dedicated team! We can't wait to share our new look practice with you and your pets.
Meet the team
It has been great seeing the practice develop since we started it in 2008. Our team has grown as we have brought in more receptionists, veterinary surgeons and we have trained student nurses that have graduated into excellent registered veterinary nurses.
I have also really enjoyed developing long term relationships with our clients and their pets, some of whom we have known from the start, and have had the pleasure of seeing young puppies and kittens grow up and become a very important part of their families.
Hi, I'm Steve. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011 and have worked in various Vets4Pets practices across the country ever since. I have been working at Wigan Vets4Pets since 2015. I have a particular interest in surgery and started my certificate in small animal surgery in 2019.
When not at the practice I'm generally with my family and running around after my three children. Our family also includes our cat, Leo.
'Hi, I'm Lauren. I Graduated from Liverpool University in 2019 as a Veterinary Surgeon and I have worked here at Wigan Vets4Pets ever since. I also Graduated as a Zoologist in 2013 from Liverpool John Moores University! I love all aspects of practice life including consulting, medicine and surgery. I am the proud recipient of the Vets4Pets Graduate of the year award and the BVA Graduate of the year finalist.
Outside of work I love spending time with my family, friends, my horse Max and my three legged cat Roo.'
I Graduated from Bristol University in 2020 as a Veterinary Surgeon and I have worked here at Wigan Vets4Pets since June 2022. I am very lucky to work with such a fantastic and supportive team everyday. I love that no two days are the same and enjoy meeting owners and their furry friends.
Outside of work I enjoy exploring the countryside, getting stuck into DIY projects and eating lots of cake. At home I have a mischievous cat called Bee and two Hermann’s tortoises, Albus and Minerva.
Hi, I’m Huseyin. I graduated from the faculty of veterinary medicine at Bursa Uludag University, Turkey, in 2016. Until 2022, I had been working as a mixed veterinary surgeon at the university animal hospital and in a small animal clinic in Turkey. Then, I moved to the UK with my family and our cat, Arwen.
I like every area of my job, but I am especially passionate about veterinary internal medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy playing electric guitar and listening to music, as well as spending time with my family and playing with Arwen.
I opened Wigan Vets4Pets with Mahala back in 2008. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved and I am even prouder of how the practice has grown over this time. We are an accredited small animal general practice with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and we are a nurse training practice for student nurses. We have lovely clients and patients, and getting to know them has been a privilege. We are lucky to have such a brilliant team here at Wigan; they are professional, hard working and are committed to delivering a high standard of care to our clients and their pets.
I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2010 graduating from Myerscough College. I was privileged to become a member of the Vets4Pets team in December 2015. After a few years in my role as a Veterinary Nurse I was offered the Head Veterinary Nurse role which has always been an ambition of mine, and I absolutely love the challenges this role brings me.
I enjoy all aspects of nursing but have a passion for inpatient care and medical nursing, I thrive in these areas and always push myself to provide gold standard care for all my patients.
Recently my interest has become focused on canine behaviour, I have completed a few courses that have helped my knowledge and is now implemented into my nurse consultations. I love that everyday brings new challenges and rewards.
I have 2 cats of my own Nellie and Nelson who are extremely different but share the same ginger colour!

Hiya!
I’m Danielle and I’m a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Vets4Pets Wigan
Since being a young girl I have always known I wanted to work in a medical profession and with my love for animals I thought why not combine the two!
I haven’t looked back since! I started my veterinary nursing journey back in 2010 when I worked as an animal nursing assistant at a first opinion practice. I then went on to start my veterinary nurse training in 2011 at Myerscough College and qualified in 2013. This was a very proud moment for me!
Not long after I qualified, I decided to pursue my dream of working in a veterinary hospital and was lucky enough to start a new path in my career as a Referral Ward Nurse and rotating Medicine & Oncology Nurse which I absolutely loved! During my time there, I progressed to Senior Medicine Nurse which was a very rewarding time in my career
I completed my Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in 2018 and have gained my Certificate in Feline Nursing. I absolutely love working at Wigan Vets4Pets and the team is amazing!
You will likely find me in the wards or in theatre monitoring anaesthetics (one of my favourite aspects of nursing!). Veterinary Nursing awareness means a lot to me because I like to spread the word about how amazing our job is and how varied the role can be! I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else
I began working in practice as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2012 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2017. I was lucky enough to join the Vets4Pets team in 2018.
I love the variety and challenge every day brings. I really enjoy all aspects of nursing, I love meeting all your lovely pets on my consulting days and also love looking after them if they have to come in and stay with us for the day.
At home I have a cheeky Springer Spaniel called Rosie, a cat called Martha and a little old bunny called Ted.
My name is Amy
I have always had a passion for animals big and small. I grew up with cats and dogs. Roger was an Alsatian cross, who I'm sure thought he was a kangaroo!
Roby, a cross breed, and the cats tiger, Pippa and Pickles.
My role in the vets4pets team is working on the reception. I love my job so much as everyday is different. I enjoy meeting all of our lovely clients and their beautiful fur babies.
My favourite part is seeing the different personalities of all the animals and of course fitting in a cuddle or two wherever possible. I am very privileged to be part of such an amazing team, whom have the biggest of hearts.
My name is Helen and I have worked here since 2014!
I really love working here as everyday is so different and I work with the best team who are so supportive and really care about everyone.
I have a sprocker called Hugo and I love going on walks with him and my family
Hi I am Courtney,
I was lucky enough to start working as a Veterinary Care Assistant at Wigan Vets4Pets in 2021. Even in a short period of time I have learned so much and have had many new and exciting experiences.
I am aiming to complete a Veterinary Care Assistant qualification later this year. Working with a team who are so passionate and dedicated make everyday amazing. The best part of my job is having the pleasure of meeting not only the patients but their owners too. I love getting to know the animals and learning there little personalities.
In my spare time I love country walks with my British Bulldog Bronson.
I have really enjoyed working in veterinary practices, both in emergency service and standard practice. I want to continue a career within the veterinary industry with progression too being a veterinary nurse and eventually a Veterinary Surgeon. With Vets4Pets, I am gaining as much experience and knowledge as possible during my personal learning. I really grateful for and enjoy working with our team at Vets4Pets, as everyone will happily talk me through processes and answer any questions I might have, encouraging me continuously.
I believe animals make the world a brighter place for the majority of people and it is an honor to assist in the health and well-being of the animals that walk into our practice, and seeing the smiles on the faces of the clients when leaving with their loved ones.
Hi, my name is Alison and I am part of the reception team.
I was lucky to be given the opportunity to start at the Vets4pets practice in November 2021. I have adored animals all my life and currently have one jack Russell’, Tilly aged 3 years old .
I am really enjoying meeting the practice clients with their companions and getting to know everyone. Ultimately I want to be part of the existing dedicated practice team to ensure both our clients and their animals receive the best care and support.
