Meet the team

Garrick graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2005 and has now spent many years in the UK. He came to us from a practice in Dartford, having enjoyed 2 years with them. Garrick became a partner in the Harlow practice in June 2011. He prefers the medicine side of veterinary work over surgical procedures and achieved his GPCert in Small Animal Medicine in 2013, his GPCert in Endoscopy in 2015 and his PgCert in Small Animal Medicine in 2017 Garrick is now pursuing a GPCert in Cardiology to expand his knowledge. He is particularly successful in helping clients to maintain the quality of their pet's life during terminal illness. Garrick has a passion for sport and can be found, summer weekends, playing cricket on local village greens and at other times with his beloved family.

Anna graduated from the RVC in 2012. After spending two years at a small animal practice in Norwich she joined us in Chingford in 2014, subsequently moving here to Harlow in 2017. Anna has a particular interest in surgery, both soft tissue and orthopaedics and is currently studying for a certificate in small animal surgery. Outside of work she is most likely to be found baking/knitting/sewing or out doing something active.

Natacha join us in 2019. She graduated from the University of Lisbon in 2018 and after working for a short time in Lisbon as a vet she came to practice in the UK. Natacha has interests in canine behaviour and non-pet species.

Amelia is originally from Yorkshire and having graduated from the University of Bristol in June 2020, she moved to live on her partner’s farm here in Essex. Amelia enjoys both surgery and medicine and is currently focusing on developing her skills in both areas. Amelia enjoys baking in her spare time, walking her Labradors, Millie & Cassie on the farm and driving tractors over harvest.

Kelsey moved to Veterinary Nursing in 1997 after trying the conventional commuting 9 to 5. She trained at a local veterinary hospital where she then eventually took the head nurse role there in 2001. Kelsey remained at that practice until 2006 when she left to have her son, Henry. Kelsey joined us on a part time basis in 2008, became our Head Nurse in 2009 and is a valued member of staff. She is instrumental in training our student nurses, many of which are about to complete final exams. Kelsey recently completed the Diploma in Advance Veterinary Nursing, to further her skills and enable her to provide advanced care to our patients. This is a tough qualification to achieve and is one of only a small number of nurses in the UK to have done so. Kelsey also has the ISFM Diploma in Feline Nursing in order to enhance our feline care. Away from the practice Kelsey likes to spend time with her family, including Shouty Bob a very unusual female ginger cat, and socialising with friends.

Sophie joined us as a placement student in 2011 and loved us so much she chose to become an employed member of staff in 2012. Sophie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2016 and gained her ISFM Certificate in Feline Medicine in 2019. Sophie is a very important member of the practice she is the quietest member of our team but always has a ready smile. Sophie enjoys spending time with family and friends when not studying and has 2 dogs Louis & Jeff, and Poppy, a kitten she hand reared after it had been found left in a dustbin.

Sophie is from Harlow and came to Vets4Pets Harlow in January 2017 after having her son Alfie. Sophie qualified in 2014 and has also achieved her SQP award.

Erin came to us in 2016 after completing her BSc (hons) in Animal Management to train as a Veterinary Nurse. She qualified in 2018. Erin spends a great deal of time with her horses Tabi and Fabbie, whilst taking great pains to assure everyone that their names were not her idea. She has a cat Theo, who is a rescue. Theo has been taught tricks such as high 5, sit and give paw, a major achievement for a cat! Erin very much enjoys behavioural therapy and helping our patients overcome their fear of the vets.

Grace came to Vets4Pets Harlow in 2017 after completing her Zoology degree and spending some time with the Zoological Society of London health screening rare snails before release and helping with general keeper duties. Grace started studying for her Veterinary Nursing Diploma and expects to qualify in 2021.

Rose came to Vets4Pets Harlow in 2017 and is currently studying for her nursing qualification. She likes to spend time outside of work with her pets, family and friends.

Chloe graduated from Writtle University College in September 2018 with a BSc in Animal Science. Prior to her degree, Chloe has worked in a kennel/cattery and an Animal charity finding new homes for companion animals. She has three cats at home which she adores. Chloe is a very chatty and bubbly person willing to help anyone. She joined us early 2019 as a Veterinary Care Assistant and is now pursuing a Veterinary Nursing qualification.

Jessica joined us 2020 to start her career in veterinary medicine. Jessica has spent time in the transport industry prior to following her dream to work toward becoming a Veterinary Nurse. She has many pets of her own and enjoys spending time with them and her family when not working.

Joanne joined us in 2018 after a varied career working in both veterinary practice and the pharmaceutical industry. She has a qualification in clinical nutrition and can most often be found consulting with clients about their pets nutritional needs. Outside of work she spends much time with her pets.

Claire joined Vets4Pets Harlow in 2018. She is a friendly face on reception and enjoys talking to our clients. Claire enjoys spending time with her own cats and her family when not at work.
