Meet the team

Having originally trained in New Zealand, I graduated from Massey University in 1995 and have been practising in the UK since 1998. I worked in Essex for 7 years before having the pleasure of opening Braintree Vets4Pets in March 2014 and Maldon in August 2014. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career so far, during which time I have developed a passion for canine and feline medicine and therapeutics and a great enthusiasm for working with small furries (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters…) At home I have a pet dog and rabbit. When not at work, I enjoy the outdoors, rock music, theatre, cinema and travel.

I qualified in Turkey as a Veterinarian in 2019 and I have been working as a Veterinary surgeon at Maldon Vet4Pets since 2023.
I have a strong passion for both exotic and small animal care with particular interests in ultrasound and surgery.

Dr Bonnie Sharpe
Veterinary Surgeon

I started working in the veterinary industry July 1990 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1994. Since then I have gained over 30 years of experience and knowledge both in veterinary pharmaceuticals and within the veterinary practice. In January 2017 I took on the role of practice manager of Maldon Vets4Pets as well as continuing to be heavily involved in patient care and nursing on a day-to-day basis. This role has proved to be a fulfilling and rewarding challenge that I thoroughly enjoy.

Dawn qualified as a veterinary nurse over 30 years ago, she has a wealth of experience nursing a variety of species.

Emma qualified in 2001 and worked in emergency and critical care for 10years before returning to small animal practice in 2015.
She has been in Maldon Vets4Pets since 2022 and grew up in Maldon so is a true local!
In her spare time she has three children, two dogs and a cat and enjoys long walks, horse riding and socialising with friends and family.

Emma has returned to nursing following a break in her career to raise her family.
She has a wealth of experience form her previous career!

Luke began his journey as a veterinary nurse 4 years ago. Currently in his final year of study, he is deeply passionate about animal care and welfare. Upon completing his qualifications, Luke aims to pursue a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing, further enhancing his expertise in the field.

Fay joined the team in December 2023, before starting a family she was a registered Veterinary Nurse, but now covers reception and a variety of administration work.

Megan Pawsey
Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have been working within the practice for 2 years and started as work experience.
I am now working as a Veterinary Care Assistant and I am very excited to start my Veterinary Nurse training in the near future.

I took the job as receptionist at Maldon Vets4Pets in 2015 and got promoted to Head Receptionist 2018 throughout my time at Maldon Vets4Pets I have completed my Bronze, Silver and Gold Award from the British Veterinary Receptionist Association.
Before working at Maldon Vets4Pets I worked as a Receptionist at VetsNow Emergency Vets where I thoroughly enjoyed working with both the animals and the team this prompted my desire to work in a smaller vets practice as I get to build good relationships with colleagues, animals and clients.
