Meet the team

I was born and brought up in Glasgow and attended Glasgow University Veterinary School. I graduated in 2004 so I have over a decade of experience in small animal practice. After graduation I spent a year as an intern in a referral practice in Essex before moving into first opinion practice in London. I spent the majority of my time in London working for a hospital-based practice where my duties included looking after the Metropolitan police dogs of south London. After leaving London I worked for 2 years in Aberdeen running a branch practice for a large veterinary group. After leaving Aberdeen I spent a year working and traveling in Australia and New Zealand before returning home to open the Glasgow Forge practice. We have now been open for two years and the surgery is just continuing to grow and expand which has been great to oversee. I live in Glasgow with my wife Sarah (we recently got married in Iceland September 2016). Also at home is my geriatric 3-legged rescue cat called Cheeky who features in the practice photos. We also have some new additions to the family…a ginger rescue cat called Grettir (Icelandic name for the famous Garfield), Sylvester and Larry. I enjoy the variety of small animal first opinion practice but I particularly enjoy discussing preventative health care with owners and dealing with skin cases. I am currently studying a master’s degree in ‘Advanced Clinical Practice’ part-time at the University of Edinburgh.

I am Rhea, one of the vets at Glasgow Forge. I studied in Edinburgh, but I am from sunny Trinidad and Tobago. I am a self indulged crazy cat lady with 2 kittens, Mud and Peetree.
My interests are small animal internal and emergency medicine, opthamology, surgery and anything exotic. I'm passionate about mental health and I love Glasgow and Scottish humour in general. Feel free to pop in and say " Hi"

I'm Nadia, one of your veterinary surgeons at Glasgow Forge. I am originally from Long Island, New York, but I came to Scotland to study veterinary medicine. I graduated from university in June 2018 and became part of the Glasgow Forge team shortly after, in July 2018.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets in my consult room!

Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVS

Hi, I am a student veterinary nurse currently studying at Edinburgh Napier University. I have completed all placements here at Glasgow Forge since September 2016 and officially joined the team in January 2019.
I enjoy all aspects of my job, in particular surgical nursing. Sadly, I currently do not have any pets of my own, but I am sure that will change soon.

Hello, I'm Rhiann and I am one of your registered veterinary nurses!
I joined the team in 2016 as a receptionist whilst carrying out my nursing degree. I graduated as a registered veterinary nurse in June 2018 from Napier University.
I love all aspects of my job, but I have a keen interest in exotic animals, in particular, rats and rabbits. At home, I have a Border Collie called Audie, two rabbits, Willow and Drake, rats called Oliver, Bonnie, Billie and Lucie and a dwarf hamster called Ellie.
I look forward to meeting you and your amazing pets!

I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2009 after working in practice from 2005. I have spent the last 10 years working in a variety of first opinion, referral and out of hours practices. I joined the Glasgow Forge team in December 2015 as the weekend nurse while working full time with a veterinary lab. I was promoted to senior nurse in 2018 and became a full time colleague.
At home I have a menagerie ....Stella the Whippet cross, Douglas the Golden Retriever, Ralphy the Lhaso Apso, Chino, Tiny, Leo and Bonnie (the cats), Boo the Chinchilla, Albert the Guinea Pig and a variety of fish in a 450 litre tank, oh and a husband called Steven!
I have a keen interest in cats and their welfare and I volunteer for the Cat Protection League. I have also completed 2 TNR ( trap, neuter, return) programmes in Ibiza in 2018 and 2019.
I completed the International Society of Feline Medicine nursing certificate in 2017.
I enjoy all aspects of nursing, but love chatting to owners and meeting them and their pets in the consulting room.

Rosanna Fraser
Student Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I am Teri, I am one of the client care advisors here at Glasgow Forge. This is my first job within the veterinary profession and so far it has been a really fun and enjoyable experience. I really enjoy meeting the clients and their wonderful pets...perks of the job!
I don't have any pets at the moment, but I am looking to adopt a little bunny in the near future.

Hi, I'm Gillian and I am your veterinary care assistant. I have recently completed my Animal Nursing Assistant course. I have worked at Glasgow Forge Vets4pets since it opened in 2015. I have been in this profession for 29 years and loved every minute of it.
I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 rats and I love them to bits. I am dedicated to the animals we treat and it is a pleasure to meet everyone!

Hi, my name is David and I have been with the practice as a receptionist since July 2016.
Many of our local clients recognise my face from the shop floor, as I previously worked for Pets at Home in Glasgow Forge for over 12 years. My speciality was aquatics.
As well as being a fan of fish, I love dogs of all shapes and sizes (particularly Cockapoo's)
I like being creative in my spare time and enjoy making all sort of things from scratch.
I am currently expanding my knowledge of pets and pet health and I am undertaking an Animal Nursing Assistant course. I love being able to meet all our clients and their pets at the practice.

Hi, I'm Megan and I am a veterinary care assistant and client care advisor. I am stilla t secondary school and hoping to study veterinary medicine at university when I leave school. You can find me on a Saturday either in the consult rooms or on the reception desk.
The love of my life is my own wee Cocker Spaniel called Winnie, but I love all animals and can't wait to meet your pets at the surgery.

Hello, my name is Janine. You will normally find me on the reception desk feeding your pets tons of treats and stealing snuggles from them. I am currently in my 3rd year of university studying veterinary nursing. I am very passionate about animal welfare and have a keen interest in furthering my studies on animal behaviour.
I have 3 pets at home who I adore, Tilly the 7 year old Bichon Frise (who is a total Diva) and sometimes accompanies me to work and sits on the reception desk and Martin and Binky my two house rabbits. They love nothing more than causing havoc and eating things they shouldn't.

Beth Stewart
Senior Client Care Advisor

Hi, I'm Coleen. I started with Vets4pets in November 2015 having previously worked for Pets at Home. My first role was working on the reception desk and then moving up to Practice Manager. I love seeing everyone at the surgery with their fur babies, but I also love working with the amazing team at Glasgow Forge and looking after that daily running of the surgery.
At home I have 3 cats, Molly, Gizmo and Mosi and 2 rabbits, Murray and Fudge, so they keep me busy too!
I look forward to meeting you all..and your owner's...when you come to the surgery!
