My name is Deborrah Merry, and I am a veterinary Surgeon at Leicester Fosse Park and Beaumont Leys. I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2017.
Outside of work I enjoy going on walks with my springer spaniel Mortimer, reading baking and spending time with friends and family.
Yan Yin Lau
Hi, having worked in practice since 2004, I have enjoyed a variety of practical environments, ranging from General Practice to Referral Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology and Cardiology, but still fell most passionate and excited when undertaking anaesthetic duties for my patients. I enjoy working under pressure with emergency and critical care cases as well as wound management.
Out of work, I enjoy riding and maintaining my classic sportsbike, playing guitar and going bike riding with my boys.
My name is Gemma Scales, I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in April 2018, but I have been in Veterinary for over 5 years. I have been with the practice since March 2016, I love every aspect of my job, especially when I am consulting so I get to interact with clients and their lovely pets.
At home, I enjoying playing a range of different sports such as hockey and rounders. I also love spending time with my fiancé, my twin baby girls and my crazy Border Collie Fidget.
I started my vet nursing career in 2006 and have worked in many different practices since. I have an interest in physiotherapy, raw feeding and exotic animals having also completed a city and guilds certificate in exotic nursing. I am a clinical coach for students in our practice. I am the proud owner of a bulldog, two cats, chickens, ducks and tortoises.
Hi my name is Paige, I have worked at Vets4Pets Fosse Park and Vets4Pets Beaumont Leys as an Animal Care Assistant since July 2016. In September I will be going to Bottle green training college to start my veterinary nurse training. At home I have an American Akita called Broly, me and my partner enjoy going for walks with him, he’s currently only a puppy so he’s very cheeky, but loves everyone.
‘I joined the practice in January 2017 as a student veterinary nurse and I qualified in July 2019 from the Royal Veterinary College. I am currently studying my Bachelors Degree at Nottingham Trent University, aiming to go onto do further qualifications in my areas of interest.
My main areas of interest are basically anything theatre related, emergency and critical care work. I enjoy working under pressure and within a team.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my two crazy dogs, going to the gym and socialising with my friends.’

My name is Hud Ahmad. I am the Practice Manager for the Vets4pets Leicester Fosse Park and Vets4Pets Leicester Beaumont Leys. I have joined the business in 2015. I have come with extensive experience in business and team management. I am from Portugal and I am fluent in 3 languages and understand clearly another two. I have graduated in Accounting and Finance. I am married and have one child with the second one on the way. I don`t have any pets. Outside work I enjoy cooking, watching movies going for long walks but most importantly I thrive to spend time with my family.
I have worked for the practice Since 2011 as a receptionist. I currently have a cat named Smudge and a Russian Dwarf Hamster Named Rascal. I enjoy working with animals and expanding my knowledge about the veterinary world. Customer service is a huge part of my role and therefore is important that I help every client and patient to the best of my ability the way I would be expected to be treated if I was a client.
I have worked for Vets4Pets since 2015 as a practice receptionist I particularly enjoy getting to know the clients and their pets . I have a black Labrador called Cleo and a cat called Indie . Outside of work I enjoy listening to music, reading and I love gardening.
My name is Emma Szuster, I joined the business in August 2016 and I am Veterinary Receptionist at Leicester Beaumont Leys. I have a 3 year old Pug named Pumba and I enjoy eating.
Hi my name is Emma I started working at Vets4Pets Fosse Park as a receptionist in February 2018. I have previously worked in the catering industry as I enjoy to cook and create new dishes. I wanted a change of career as a receptionist because I am a very sociable person and I love seeing all the animals to. In my spare time I like to go on walks with my husband and dog-Lacie we love exploring new places. I also enjoy reading, playing badminton and spending time with family is important to me.
My name is Alex Garland, I started in February 2018. I am one of the Kennel Assistants at Vets4Pets Fosse Park although you'll occasionally find me at Beaumont Leys. From September I will be starting my training to become a Veterinary Nurse, I love that our job has so much variety and everyday is a learning day. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going on adventures with my boyfriend and trying to raise my crazy 1 year old tortoiseshell cat, Connie.
I have worked as a Receptionist since 2019 as I really enjoy working with Animals. Big dogs are my favourite of all, and in my spare time I help look after two Dogue De Bordeaux named Ruby and Missy.
I have worked as a receptionist since 2019, I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to make relationships with the clients and watching animals progress in there recovery journeys. I have 2 dogs, 1 a standard Dachshund cross Pomeranian called Bailey and the other being a Miniature Dachshund called Steve.

My name is Marta Krawiec-Maj. I am one of the veterinary surgeon in Leicester Fosse Park and Beaumont Leys. Becoming a veterinarian had been my dream since I was a child. I grew up in a house full of pets and often took care of injured wild birds. I graduated from Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Poland in 2009. Since then I have been working with many various animal species. In 2017 I succesfully defended my PHD thesis. I joined the team of Vets4Pets in February 2020. I am mostly interested in laboratory diagnostics.
I have worked at Vets4Pets Fosse Park since October 2018. I originally started as a Receptionist but soon progressed to become a Kennel Assistant. I have a spoilt Chihuahua X called Mitsie and 3 talkative Guinea Pigs called Presley, Ozzy and Freddie.
