My name is Shabbir Shariff. I am one of the Joint Venture Partner at Vets4Pets Leicester Fosse Park and Vets4Pets Leicester Beaumont Leys. I have been at the practice since opening in November 2001. I graduated from the University of Pretoria in November 2008. My interests lies in feline medicine and laser therapy. I enjoy helping the various pets (cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, degus, gerbils and hamsters) we see daily. I am married to my lovely wife Sumera. We have a cat and hamster called Smudge and Rascal. My hobbies include doing a lot of DIY and tinkering with cars. I also enjoy playing basketball, badminton, watching formula 1 and movies.

I graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in June 2002. I have worked in different aspects of the profession but my interest lies in orthopaedic surgery. Professionally I enjoy helping to make a difference in the quality of lives of all the pets we see and also enjoy the varied case load daily. I am married with 2 children. Outside of work my time is spent with them and I enjoy playing squash. I have 2 cats called Sophie and Cleric.

My name is Kathryn Taylor and I am a long term locum based at the Fosse Park practice. I was born and raised in Zimbabwe and did my veterinary training in South Africa. After moving to the UK in 2007, I settled in Leamington Spa with my husband, our 3 year old daughter, a cat I adopted as a stray called Toby and a variety of fish! I enjoy all aspects of being a vet but have a special interest in feline medicine. I love the variety of cases we see as vets and the constant learning that comes with this career. 

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and gardening and spending time with friends.

Hi, having worked in practice since 2004, I have enjoyed a variety of practical environments, ranging from General Practice to Referral Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology and Cardiology, but still fell most passionate and excited when undertaking anaesthetic duties for my patients. I enjoy working under pressure with emergency and critical care cases as well as wound management.

Out of work, I enjoy riding and maintaining my classic sportsbike, playing guitar and going bike riding with my boys.

My name is Gemma Scales, I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in April 2018, but I have been in Veterinary for over 5 years. I have been with the practice since March 2016, I love every aspect of my job, especially when I am consulting so I get to interact with clients and their lovely pets.

At home, I enjoying playing a range of different sports such as hockey and rounders. I also love spending time with my fiancé, my twin baby girls and my crazy Border Collie Fidget.
