My name is Gill, and I am one of the Veterinary Surgeons at Sheffield Birley Moor Vets4Pets. I grew up in the Southwest, initially Cornwall and later on, in Devon. Following my graduation from Bristol University in 2005, I joined a small animal practice in Torquay where I worked for 12 months before moving up North. After working and gaining experience at a couple of practices in Chesterfield, Tom, my husband, and I were keen to have a practice of our own.

We opened Birley Moor Vets4Pets 9 years ago, and have grown as a practice ever since. We are keen to provide a friendly professional service where caring for the animals is our priority. We are a little family-run practice, and our clients and their pets are an extension of that. Soft tissue surgery is my passion, and I get a great satisfaction from performing the surgery right through to seeing the patients healed and well at the end of the recovery.

In my free time, I love spending time with Tom and our two daughters. You will usually find us out enjoying the countryside in the Peaks, often coupled with tea and cake and play parks for the girls. When I get the chance, I really enjoy being outdoors in my garden or baking up yummy treats in the kitchen!

Hi, my name is Georgia, I'm one of the Veterinary Nurses here at Birley Moor. I'm from Sheffield but I studied in York to get my nursing degree. I came to Birley Moor Vets4Pets in 2020 as a student, and have stayed after graduating in 2022!

I love all kinds of pets, but if I had to choose, rabbits are my favourite. They're too cute! I have one cat of my own, Athena, who is a very sassy girl that enjoys cuddles, but only on her terms! When I'm not at work, I enjoy getting cosy and reading a good book or going out with friends if the weather is nice.

Hi! I’m Samantha, one of the Veterinary Nurse's here. I qualified in 2023. From assisting in surgeries to offering support to pet owners, I love making a difference in pets' lives every day, and love the variety of things I can do in my job. I’m always learning and growing to stay on top of the latest in veterinary care. I am also the practices clinical supervisor, responsible for teaching and mentoring the student nurses. I find it very rewarding watching and helping them grow, and care for their own patients.
Outside of work, I like to go out on walks or read a book. I'm trying to stop shopping so much!
