Meet the team
Since qualifying from Liverpool University in 2013, I have worked as a vet in Wales, Australia and Leek before moving back home to Stoke on Trent to settle at Goldenhill Vets4Pets with my partner Alex. Having treated all types of animals, my favourite has always been a rabbit. Outside of work I enjoy playing netball and walking our dog. We have a scruffy cockapoo called Dooley who comes to work with us every day. Her main aim in life is to steal as many socks as possible!
I graduated from Liverpool University in 2014 and have worked in small animal practice in the UK and Australia. Kate and myself have been partners at Goldenhill Vets4Pets since July 2020 but have known each other since university. We travelled around Australia together and have settled in Stoke on Trent to be near family. I have always wanted to run a veterinary practice and have a particular interest in surgery. I enjoy cycling, golf and football outside of work. We both look after Dooley the naughty cockapoo and enjoy taking her for walks in the Peak district.
I qualified as an RVN in early 2018, and have previously worked in a large referral hospital for many years before finally settling at Goldenhill Vets4Pets as Head Veterinary Nurse. I enjoy all aspects of nursing, but have a keen interest in small mammal exotics and dentistry since completing my BVNA Oral Care Nurse Certificate. Outside of work I enjoy riding and competing with my horse Lady Gaga, and walking my dog Sid. The best aspect of working at Goldenhill Vets4Pets is most defiantly working with such a close knit friendly team!
I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and take a special interest in inpatient care and emergency critical care. I have a cockapoo called Peanut and a cat called Loki. In my spare time I like to horse ride, socialise with friends and eat junk food! In the future I would like to study and become qualified in animal hydrotherapy.
I originally started Veterinary Nursing in 2006 but left to start a family. I restarted my Veterinary Nurse training in 2018 and I am due to qualify in early 2021. I love being a Veterinary Nurse because no day is the same and I like to be able to provide nursing care to animals in their time of need. Outside of work I love spending time with my 2 children and hiking with my energetic German Pointer - Maggie.
I have worked for vets4pets for 6 years since we opened Goldenhill practice. I've completed 3 different Animal Care courses at both college and university.
What I like about working for Goldenhill Vets4Pets is the clients and the team. Outside of work I enjoy walking, camping and just doing things to make memories with my husband and my 2 young sons that are 2 years and 1 year old. I also have a various array of animals including my 3 cats Amber, Odie and Junior. Also have 3 rabbits and 18 fish tanks with Killifish in.
I have always loved working with animals, even on a dairy farm before starting at Goldenhill Vets4Pets. My favourite animal is a cat because they are so independent yet loving. I have a tabby and white cat called Dotty, she is 5 years old and loves to hunt mice. We also have sheep, cows, chickens, horses and 2 dogs on our family farm. Outside of work I enjoy meeting up with friends and helping to look after my 7 sheep on our family farm.
Vets4Pets Goldenhill is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
