Meet the team

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1999 and have worked in small animal and emergency/critical care practice since graduating. After all this time I still very much love being a vet and I enjoy the challenges that general practice brings both in medicine and surgical cases. Every day is different. The bond between a pet and their owner is something very special and I consider myself privileged to be able to play a part in maintaining that relationship.

After qualifying from Liverpool University in 2015 I joined Sunderland Vets4Pets as a new-graduate Vet. In 2016 I moved to Anglesey, North Wales where I lived with my Husband and our Great Dane Nelson for a year before moving back to the North East.
I love working at Sunderland South Vets4Pets. Despite the challenges we sometimes face, we are rewarded every day by the fab clients and pets we have the pleasure to look after.
My interests are dermatology and exotics, and outside of work I enjoy long walks with my family and our dogs. My favourite animal is the beautiful Black Rhino.

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the university of Edinburgh in 2018 but I am a local girl from Sunderland. i had spent several weeks doing work experience with Sunderland Vets4pets where i became very fond of the practice and the team and was thrilled to be offered a job as a new graduate vet. I love performing surgery but also have an interest in medicine so general practice is a great balance for me. i like to spend most of my spare time is spent walking with my dog, Fergus.

I started as a school leaver helping out in a veterinary practice close to home in Northumberland in 1993. I went on to complete my nursing training and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1998. 5 years later I joined the Vets4Pets becoming the groups first Veterinary Nurse Partner. After over 15 years as a Practice Partner my role has moved from full time nursing to now mainly practice management although I like to keep my hand in with nursing. My working week is split between both Sunderland South Vets4Pets and Sunderland Vets4Pets in Fulwell.

After joining the team in 2017 as a Student Vet Nurse I went on to qualify and graduate from Nottingham Trent University becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2019. I have a special interest in exotics and internal medicine, and I am currently completing my certificate in small mammal exotics. I love working as a veterinary nurse at Sunderland South Vets4Pets as every day is different which brings a lot of variety to the role.
The role of a nurse is very rewarding, especially when you have really poorly patients that walk out the door back to their owners knowing you have helped them!

Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVN

I have had a love for animals since being little and when an opportunity came about to join the team at Vets4Pets as a VCA I jumped at the chance. Every day is different in this role. My placement is split between attending practice and college. I look forward to caring for the patients in our practice and will be working hard to pursue my goal to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future.

I joined the team in Sunderland as a part time receptionist in 2010. Over the years as the team and the practice have grown my role has developed into a Client Services Manager. I oversee the reception team and deal with the customer care aspect of the practice. As we open our sister practice in Sunderland South I will be spending time across both practices assisting and supporting the reception team.

I joined the team in Sunderland Vets4Pets as a receptionist and enjoyed being part of the team for a number of years before heading off on retirement. After 18 months of enjoying travelling and spending time with the family I decided to return to work and rejoined the group ready for the opening of the Sunderland South Vets4Pets practice. I look forward to getting to meet all the patients and their owners. Outside of work I enjoy travelling and watching cricket.

I joined the team in November 2018 as a client care advisor, previously I worked at an OOH Emergency vets, having a love of animal’s means I love working at Vets4Pets and love interacting with our clients and their pets. In my spare time I go to the gym and enjoy trying new things also going on walks with my family. I have had numerous pets over the years and currently have a cat named George & a fish named Barry. My all-time favourite animal is a crocodile I find them fascinating!.

I worked for 34 years in customer service within the civil service and decided I needed a change. My love of animals lead to me having two cats so this job is perfect for me. Each day is different and I've instantly been made to feel welcome and a part of the vet family. I am looking forward to learning more in my new role. My hobbies are reading, yoga and walking.

I am a client care advisor and started working here at Sunderland South Vets4Pets in October 2018. The things I love most about my job is meeting new people and their beloved pets on a daily basis. I have 2 pugs called Frank and Fearne who love going on walks and cant resist cuddles.
Vets4Pets Sunderland South is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
