I have been a Veterinary Surgeon for 15 years. I have worked in Swindon for the past 1 years and I became a partner at Vets4pets Swindon (then known as Companion Care) when it opened its doors in May 2001. The practice is built around the core value that we treat each patient as if they were our own. We pride ourselves on our warm, honest, open approach and our excellent clinical standards. I am immensely proud of my entire team, who share this aim with me, and make Vets4pets Swindon a great place to work. I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and I have a particular interest in small mammals and reptiles. I love to meet people and their pets and I am very lucky to have such a rewarding job. In what little spare time that I have, I thoroughly enjoy being with my family. I have a very patient and loving husband, 2 beautiful children, 2 dogs called Pablo and Clover and a cat called Yoda. I have a real passion for cooking and also for eating! I love to travel, enjoy reading and love rollercoasters!

My name is Ana Perez, I graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Sapin in 2008 and I decided to stay at University two further years doing a Companion Animal postgraduate which gave me a stronger knowledge on my chosen career path.

I then moved to the UK where I embarked on a one year internship to get the grips of Veterinary Medicine in the UK which allow me to adapt to the country variations. I performed this internship right here in Swindon at the former Great Western Referrals Hospital.

After this I moved to the South Coast of England where I spent seven years enjoying my job as a first opinion vet with a wide variety of interests. (All about felines, internal medicine, imaging...)

I decided to come back to Swindon after all those years to reunite with some very missed friends and I am planning to stay for a while!

On my spare time I love to travel, meet up with friends and I am a keen salsa dancer. I love to read as well while cuddling my beautiful rescue cat, Kitty.

I began training as a nurse in 1987 and qualified in 1990. I joined Vets4Pets in May 2013 at the Stratton surgery and in December 2015 became a partner with Clare and Tanya in the Vets4Pets Bridgemead clinic. Cats are my passion and in March 2016 I gained my diploma in feline nursing from the International Society of Feline Medicine. I enjoy consulting and love sharing my knowledge with other cat owners, hopefully helping them to have long happy, healthy lives with their much loved cats. I am proud to be a crazy cat lady and currently share my home with 3 rescue cats. Away from work I enjoy gardening, cooking and crafting.

I recently joined the Bridgemead team in 2021 after my love of animals was further sparked by working in a local dog groomer. I’ve always been a dog-lover at heart, even when this means being slobbered on by a soppy St. Bernard.

Despite having experience with canines and rabbits I’ve been excited to learn more about felines.

At home I go dizzy watching my crazy Cocker Spaniel Dexter run circles around the coffee table for hours-on-end.

I also have a stubborn but sweet Netherland Dwarf called Levi. Though the strangest of my animals are two Albino and Wild type axolotls: Cowboy and Beebop.

After Graduating from Plymouth University in 2007 I joined the Merchant Navy sailing around the world within the Cruise Ship Industry which fed my passion for travel. I relocated to Swindon in 2013 where I joined Tanya’s team at the Stratton Surgery. I have found that working in Veterinary Practice enables me to entwine my love of animals, people, customer care and business. I have a 2 year old son called Elliot and our family would not be complete without our Cavachon, Tess. Both of them are full of energy and bring so much fun, laughter and chaos to my home.

Head Receptionist

I joined the Bridgemead team in 2015 as Head Receptionist.

I have always had a passion for working with animals. I studied Animal Care & Management at Wiltshire College Lackham and after graduating I had the privilege to work in South Africa with many different animals including Cheetahs and Leopards.

I have a Shetland sheepdog called Jasper who could be described as looking like a miniature Lassie, so he requires a lot of grooming. I also have a leopard Gecko called Gordon.

I enjoy seeing all the different pets that visit us here and the Puppy and Kitten cuddles are a great perk to the job.

Vets4Pets Swindon Bridgemead is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
