Bedlington Vets4Pets

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016 and I have worked in small animal practice since then – in and around Newcastle, finally settling at Bedlington Vets4Pets. 

I am originally from Newcastle – so naturally in my spare time I enjoy exploring our beautiful coastline and the amazing countryside we have on our doorstep - with my beautiful Flat Coated Retriever 'Trudie'. I’ve always said there is no place in the world like the North East of England – I love it!

I am really looking forward to meeting all of the animals we have in Bedlington – and treating them all like one of our extended Vets4Pets family.

Having always been interested in animals from a young age, especially horses I was a member of the local Pony Club and competed my Showjumping ponies at both local and national level. My love of animals continued and I went on to study an Advanced Diploma in Equine and Business Studies at Bishop Burton College, whilst also achieving BHSAI teaching qualification. I decided to continue studying and qualified in 2008 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have worked with Vets4Pets since 2011 and joined the Bedlington practice shortly after opening. I enjoy the practical element of my job; nursing sick patients, anaesthesia, radiography, nurse clinics and have by completed a course in surgical nursing. I am also a clinical coach, training and mentoring students in practice. The decision to join Robert and become owners of the Bedlington surgery provides the opportunity to combine continuity of care to our patients and stability for our whole Veterinary team. I have a Dalmatian dog Ruby, a cat Minxy and two horses Mollie and Poppy. My spare time is spent with my family; my husband, little girl Amelia and my little boy Fletcher. We like spending sunny days at the beach, going on bike rides and countryside walks.

It was always my dream as a little girl to become a veterinary nurse - and in 2013 i became a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). 

At work i have a keen interest in physiotherapy and how this can benefit your pets. I am currently undergoing further training in this area - watch this space! I also enjoy hand rearing abandoned kittens and finding them forever homes. 

I have two rescue cats at home - Billy and Combo. I also have a little Jack Russell called Bugsy - and a horse called Brian. 

In my spare time, i love to spend time with my family: my partner, my little girl and my little boy. 

I have had  a love of animals from a young age and have two dogs of my own: a 3 year old Border Collie called Peggy and a nine year old rescue Collie called Bobbie. I love taking the girls out for a nice long countryside walk. 

I am currently training to be a Veterinary Nurse with Askham Bryan college - and enjoying every minute. 

I have always had a passion for animals from a young age. Growing up i spent most of my time with my horse - competing in riding club show jumping and dressage. Whilst i have much less time now for competing - my horse 'Joey' is still my best friend. 

My family includes 5 dogs and 2 cats, who have all been regular visitors at Vets4Pets over the years. I am so excited to have recently joined the team in 2022 and begin my Veterinary Nurse training. 

 

I have had a love of animals for as long as I can remember. When I was younger & living with my parents we always had horses & ponies, so I spent most of my time growing up, enjoying their company. My husband, two daughters & myself have had various animals over the years, including fish, hamsters, guinea pigs & rabbits. We had Murphy our gorgeous Cavalier King Charles spaniel for 13 & a half years too. When we sadly lost Murphy a couple of years ago, my daughters desperately wanted to get a puppy, so we now have Amber, another beautiful little Cavalier. She makes us all laugh every day! I worked at Sunderland Vets4Pets when it first opened in 2008 & I was there for just under five years. I absolutely loved working there & met some amazing people & animals. I then moved jobs to work with my husband, which I did for approximately 4 & a half years. A visit to my local Vets4Pets in Bedlington with Amber for her annual booster this summer, resulted in me being offered a job as receptionist. I am so happy to be here & although I know a few of our lovely clients & their pets already, I can’t wait to meet everyone else who will come in to see us in the future! In our spare time, my family & I love cooking, going on long walks, eating out & enjoying relaxing holidays together.

From a very young age, i have always had a love of animals - and my two Border Collies (Maggie and Ben) certainly keep me on my toes! 

In my spare time i enjoy cooking and i am a member of a local pop choir. 

Before joining Bedlington Vets4Pets, i worked extensively within the cosmetics industry - and then i spent 6 years working on cruise ships, all over the world. 

I absolutely love my job in this fantastic surgery - and i get to meet all of your wonderful pets. 

I currently have 7 rescue dogs - and i will always make room for more. I enjoy meeting all of our wonderful clients and their animals. 

I have always enjoyed working in the customer service industry, however i now have my dream job - i can combine my love for animals and meeting new people. 

I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. We enjoy long walks on the beach and meals together as a family.
