Meet the team
Hi, my name is Liv. I graduated as a vet from the University Berlin (Germany) in 2008 and spent 5 years in a private mixed Practice in South Gloucestershire. I completed my doctor thesis in 2010 in an Orthopaedic research project at the University Charite Berlin. I joined Companion Care Bridgend as a Partner in June 2013. I am currently working towards GPCert/PSC in dermatology.
My interests in small animal medicine are in particular Endocrine Diseases and Dermatology. Outside of work I enjoy driving my ponies through the country lanes with my little dachshund Hugo by my side.
Rebecca started working with us in 2019. She graduated from Royal Veterinary College in 2014 and also gained her BSAVA postgraduate certificate in ECC in 2020. She has a great interest in all the emergencies that arrive at our practice. Outside of work she is currently enjoying renovating her house where she lives with her 3 axolotls Mortimer, Montgomery and Mildred, and her 3 house rabbits Peter, Hazel and Walnut.
I started Studying Veterinary Nursing September 2015 at the University of Bristol. I graduated in the July 2019. I recently joined the Companion Care team in April 2019. In my spare time I play dodgeball and care for my rescue Cats Loki & Benji.
Darcy started with us in 2020 as a veterinary care assistant but is now studying to become a veterinary nurse. Darcy loves to assist on patient care, so when your pets are with us for surgery she will be making sure they are comfortable and happy. Darcy spends her free time with her Labradors and riding her horses, she also loves to travel.
Ffion joined the team in April 2022 as a VCA/receptionist. She enjoys helping the nurses look after the inpatients and comforting them after surgery. In her spare time Ffion enjoys spending time with her hamster Bubbles, rabbit Squeak and her dog Bella.
I started working for companion care as a receptionist in the April 2018. I have a passion for customer Service and animal welfare. Outside of work I spend my time competing William my dressage horse, spending time with my French bulldog Blue and hiking mountains with Poppy my chocolate lab.
Tammy joined the team in November 2018, one of our first aiders. She spends her spare time playing referee to her cat Binx and adopted house rabbit Boris.
My name is Hugo and everyone at works knows me as Dr. Hugo and during the day I make sure that everybody is smiling when we are busy. In my private time I love to go running in the sand dunes investigating and looking for rabbits. After a long day at work I like to relax in front of the fire cuddled up with my friend Kitty.
Jess joined the team as a VCA apprentice in September 2020 and passed in December 2021. Since then she has found a great passion in helping clients directly so in November 2022 she joined the reception team. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends, cuddles with her many cats Duke, Arya, Bagheera, Raksha, Che and Sien and playing with the family Golden Retriever Zoe.
Holly joined the team in September 2021. She enjoys lab work within the practice and learning on the job. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with her friends and her baby girl.
Cath has returned after taking a career break to be a mum, Cath loves spending her spare time with her children Jayden and Olivia and her dogs Teddy and Chip.
