Meet the team

Abigail Feb 2020

Veterinary Surgeon

Read Abigail bio

Abigail has dreamed of being a vet since she was a teenager and graduated from Liverpool University in 1994.  Abigail has now been a vet for over 25 years and in 2012 became the owner and joint venture partner of Vets4Pets Cheadle Heath.

Abigail lives with Jess, her third black Labrador who joins her everyday at work. Abigail has previously taken many exciting trips around the world but rediscovered the British countryside during training for her Kilimanjaro trip a few years ago. After successfully reaching the summit of Africa’s highest peak, her proudest achievement outside of work, she has continued to holiday & walk on a regular basis in Snowdonia, the Peaks & the Lake District with Jess & her friends!

Abigail is dedicated to providing an excellent service to all of her clients.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Read Shannon bio

Shannon qualified in July 2018 after studying for 3 years at The Royal Veterinary College, and joined the team soon after. Shannon has a soft spot for big dogs, as she lives with two of them; Murphy, a very bouncy Boxer who doesn’t act his age and Fergus, a lump of a Bullmastiff who will happily try to eat anything even if it can’t be classed as food. She enjoys all aspects of nursing, but has a particular interest in surgical nursing, which involves spending time in theatre assisting vets in surgery.

Miss Michaela

Student Veterinary Nurse

Read Miss Michaela bio

Kayla joined our team in March 2018 and with the advantage of having prior experience of veterinary reception work she hit the ground running and has not looked back since. She is known for her ‘light-bulb’ moments and is always suggesting ways in which we can improve our front-desk efficiency. Kayla is mum to Lewis her son, Tigger the cat, and Bear her famously grumpy Shih Tzu. She is passionate about caring for animals, so much so that her aim is to become a veterinary nurse and she has already begun studying prior to her enrolment onto the RVN programme next year. In her spare time Kayla enjoys socialising with friends and is a self-confessed ‘foodie’ – she loves to sample different cuisines and try out new restaurants. Kayla is also a keen gym-goer with a focus on high-intensity workouts.

Practice Manager

Read Marina bio

Marina joined the team in 2015 and has brought with her a wealth of management experience. She has been around animals all her life and has a particular passion for dogs and horses. Having owned 4 Doberman Pinschers over the years, Marina has now downsized to a Miniature Pinscher named Twiggy with whom she is clearly smitten! Marina has ridden horses since the age of six and now shares her love of horses with her daughter who has been bitten equally hard by the equine bug! Marina is currently studying towards her SQP qualification which, when completed, will entitle her to prescribe and/or supply certain veterinary medicines under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations. Marina is also our lead in the area of bereavement support for our clients. Outside of work Marina is a passionate Manchester United supporter with her diary having to be checked regularly when trying to book time with her so she can check the match fixtures! She is also a keen lover of music and regularly attends concerts.

Client Care Coordinator

Read Zoe bio

Zoe is our veteran employee having been with the business since it opened in December 2012. Zoe loves meeting our clients and their pets and has a remarkable talent for recalling names! She needs only to meet you once and she is able to recall all details! Zoe loves the challenges the job brings and the fact that no day is ever the same. Out of work she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Tyson.

Client Care Coordinator

Read Sharon bio

Sharon re-joined our team in October 2018 after a short hiatus and we were delighted to welcome her back. Sharon is not only experienced on the front-line but is a qualified animal nursing assistant. Her passion lies with dog training and behaviour. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and in 2010 achieved her instructor award and completed her BVNA companion animal behaviour training. She is about to embark upon her SQP course which relates to the prescription and supply of certain veterinary medicines. Sharon very much enjoys doing scent work with her dogs Polly and Dougie, and she can often be seen around and about riding her bike with her spaniel Dougie proudly sitting in the front basket whilst they make their way to their chosen walking destination.

Client Care Coordinator

Read Lucyanne bio

Lucyanne is an experienced veterinary receptionist who is currently well on her way to becoming a gold certificate holder with the British Veterinary Receptionist Association.  She is also studying canine behaviour and dog law with the British College of Canine Studies.  In her spare time Lucyanne enjoys agility training with her dog Shade and exploring new places to walk with him.
