I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2007, and ever since have concentrated on small animal medicine and surgery. I enjoy all aspects of general practice, but I do have a special interest in surgery – both soft tissue and orthopaedics. I have worked across the UK, gaining experience in practices in both Scotland and England. My goal is to bring the discipline and best practices from these previous experiences to a warm and welcoming surgery delivering the highest standards of patient care. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my rescued pet - Minnie the Chihuahua. I am looking forward to providing the best quality care, and cannot wait to meet my new clients and their much loved pets!

Having grown up on a farm I have spent all my life surrounded by creatures great and small. Pursuing a career in veterinary medicine seemed natural, every day brings a different challenge and has kept me on my toes since graduating from Glasgow University in 2012. I started off in mixed practice before making a change to focus on the small animals only. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and have a keen interest and passion for surgery. Outside of work I enjoy an active lifestyle of running, rugby and squash, with the occasional ski and snowboarding trip over the winter. I have been welcomed into my new job at Vets4Pets Dumbarton by a great team of dedicated staff and look forward to meeting the new clients and helping look after their beloved pets.

I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2009, and have worked in Small Animal practice ever since. I have a particular interest in internal medicine, particularly feline medicine. I have worked in practice in Yorkshire, before returning to Scotland to work. I have gained some experience in exotic pets and have treated some very unusual animals! I love working with animals of all shapes and sizes but cats are my particular favourite. Outside of work I enjoy a variety of crafting related hobbies, including knitting, sewing and painting. I also have a cat of my own, a seven year old black and white called Echo, who keeps life interesting and entertaining! I am delighted to have taken this next step in my career as a vet by joining the team at Dumbarton and look forward to meeting your beloved pets and providing the best care for them.

I adored animals from an early age and knew I wanted to pursue a career with them in mind. I was delighted to fulfil this dream and graduate from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 2005. I have focussed on small animal first opinion practice since my graduation, including a period as an OOH emergency clinician. I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice but have a particular interest in surgery and emergency work. Additionally, I am trained and practice Veterinary acupuncture. When I am not working or spending time with my young family, I am an avid reader, a mediocre pianist and a semi-skilled baker. I joined the Vets4pets Dumbarton team in January 2019. I was quickly made to feel welcomed by staff and clients alike. It is really lovely to be part of such a close knit friendly team. I hope to be here for some time to come and look forward to meeting even more clients and caring for their beautiful pets.

Growing up on a local dairy farm, I developed a passion for caring for animals from a young age.  This led me down the path to a career in veterinary medicine; graduating from Edinburgh Vet School in 2005. I worked for many years in mixed practice and equine practice in England before returning home to join Vets4Pets Dumbarton in January 2019. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and look forward to meeting clients and your much loved pets. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and pets as well as teaching Pilates and horse riding.

I am originally from New Hampshire, USA, and after completing my first bachelor’s degree at home, I decided to move abroad and study veterinary medicine at Glasgow University. I graduated in 2018 and made the choice to continue my adventure in Scotland. I have worked in small animal practice for the last three years and hope to continue! I love the new and challenging cases that walk through the door every day and am particularly interested in soft tissue surgery. In my free time I enjoy cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends, visiting local coffee shops, and exploring Scotland!

I have always had a keen interest in animals from a very young age. When I left school I worked with clydesdale horses and highland cattle. I then went on to complete a course on animal care at Oatridge College, while attending college I volunteered at a local community farm. I have worked in Vets4Pets Dumbarton since we opened our doors in 2014, my role within the practice was Veterinary Care Assistant, I then carried out extensive training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse which has lead me to my position of Head Veterinary Nurse. I am very lucky to work with a great team within a job that I love! Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and my daughter, our favourite thing to do is go on long walks and adventures with our wee dog Archie.

I have been working with the practice since 2017 when I started as a student on placement, I am looking forward to continuing my career here as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I particularly enjoy carrying out nurse consults as it lets me get to know our patients, as well as, our lovely clients. I loved studying at SRUC Barony and at Edinburgh Napier Universities as I gained experience with many different animals. From dairy cows, to hedgehogs and everything in between. In my spare time, I like Munro bagging and running with my cocker spaniel Frankie.

Having had a love for animals ever since I was a little girl, when I found Veterinary Nursing it was love at first sight and I started studying it at SRUC Barony in 2019. I started placement at Vets4Pets Dumbarton in June 2021 for my third year and I’m absolutely loving it. Recently into that role as well! My pride and joys are a 10 year old Moggie called Smokey, a 14 week old German Shorthaired Pointer called Oscar and two Gerbils called Cashew and Chia! When I’m not studying or in practice I love getting stuck into a good book and I’m looking forward to going on hikes with Oscar when he gets bigger! I’m incredibly lucky to be studying, and now working with, such a lovely team of people and I can’t wait to meet more of our clients and their pets! I was also offered a job as a receptionist here and I’m very excited to get stuck in!

Hi, I'm Bernadette. I joined the team in Dumbarton in August 2019, I was a client at Dumbarton so it was an easy decision to join the team as a receptionist. Before joining vets4pets I worked in management within the contact centre world. I found many benefits in  combining my people skills with my love of animals!

Outside of work I spend most days with my family and friends (I am blessed with 2 grown up children who have given me 4 grandchildren). When I have spare time I enjoy sewing and reading.

I have recently joined the Dumbarton Vets 4 Pets team in June. I feel like I have already learned so much and looking forward to learning even more. I have absolutely loved meeting all of your pets, it is my favourite part of the job! At home, I have a Pomeranian named Freddy who loves to cause mischief whenever he can. In my spare time, I enjoy going long walks with Fred and my partner James, I love going out for dinner with friends as well. I have recently adopted Frank, who was our practice pet. She has made a great addition to our family and have loved learning about a new animal!

Our practice opened in 2014 and since then we have built up a great relationship with our clients and a close bond with their pets. Our practice is committed to providing high standards of care for your pets.

We look forward to continue treating animals, both existing and new!
